Media and fans are obsessed with replacing players ‘like for like’. The reality it there will never be another Vardy, not many players like him about. We should focus on keeping him going as long as possible - Zlatan is 39 and still banging them in at Milan (12 goals in 8 league games).

 

I think the best thing is to get in a few cheaper young strikers and train them up, not much point spending another 30-40mill on a striker who will probably never play for 2-3 seasons.

I'm one of those who think JV is unique but IMO he is replaceable from within the club at the moment. JV would probably be embarassed to be labeled as irreplaceable, after all the graveyards are full of irreplaceable people. He may not have scored any of the last 14 goals buts hes contributed to an awful lot of them whether he got an official assist or not.
