I was smashed in the face by some **** in town once, only got a split lip but it still counts as assault. I would probably have let the matter slip but my mate went and ran the coppers, not that they did a great deal anyway.. we ended up going down the leicester police station to give statements.. and for what? fack all.. cus they did nothing about it.
Guest Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 That's crap. I hope justice prevails, and they let you off.

andy_croydz Posted 11 November 2005 Author Posted 11 November 2005 I'm gunna plead not guilty but if they decide im lying then they would surely say im perverting the courts of justice and then give me a tough punishment
Steven Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 I'm gunna plead not guilty but if they decide im lying then they would surely say im perverting the courts of justice and then give me a tough punishment That's why you need a brief to help in this matter. Write up a full recollection of the evening.

Bert Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 section 32 of the anti social behaviour act <_< whatever the hell that is Is it something like breach of the peace? or summat silly like that
andy_croydz Posted 11 November 2005 Author Posted 11 November 2005 Its something like asking to disperse out of the city but not doing it in 10 minutes and hanging around and commited an offence <_<
Knightonian Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 Its something like asking to disperse out of the city but not doing it in 10 minutes and hanging around <_< The thing is that technically you are guilty of that, as you didn't leave the city. Even if you didn't do anything wrong in the first place, thats probably the way they will look at it.
andy_croydz Posted 11 November 2005 Author Posted 11 November 2005 Yeh i see that, but the point i tried to tell the officer was that i shouldent have been arrested or warned in the first place because i was the one who talked to the bouncer and said sorry for my mate shouting at him AND i spoke to this woman copper and told her i hadnt been drinking and im sorry for my mates argueing and causing trouble but coz they was drunk they really didnt know what they was gettin themselves into... and she agreed with me and was being well nice with me, but coz my mates didnt leave the city centre i got dragged into it and they arrested me when i shouldent have been warned off anyway
Knightonian Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 Maybe you should look into getting a lawyer, but it probably won't be worth the hassle unfortunatly.
Rincewind Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 Try for legal aid. There are lawers that deal with this sort of thing. Theres a place on granby Street next to the Charity shop and the holiday shop and near the photo shop. You go upstairs. I used to know somebody who used to work for a firm that did free legal representation. You go up stairs. There are others that do it also. Try the Law Centre for advice as well. Good luck. It's this new get tough on rowdy drunken louts thats caused this. They go from one extreme to the other.
