I think his plan is to take over from Rudkin.

The point, surely unarguable now, is that neither replacing Cifuentes nor Rudkin (tho’ JR should follow MC out of the door) is going to make that much of a difference.

That was back when we had a scouting system worth its name. Getting bargains or unknown players in, then forming them to a unit.

A few years prior, Vary had joined, Morgan with him, Kasper before.

 

Man, those were the days. Can't believe how easily we threw it all away in just a few years.

 

Back to Mahrez, I wonder whether him or any other former, still active players from the glory days would be willing to come back, if only for one single season.

We could use some of that winning spirit – and depth in squad. A few "oldies" to tutor the youngens.
