Samu Posted 16 November 2005 Posted 16 November 2005 Breakfast at Tiffanys and in complete contrast Fever Pitch. I take it you mean the version about Arsenal from the Nick Hornby book. I think I'm right in saying they released another version about the Boston Red Sox based on the same Nick Hornby book. I've wanted to see that version for a while now as I love the Red Sox. It has Drew Barrymore in it. Have you seen it Katassi? Edit: Just been onto amazon.co.uk and I'm not sure what the actual title is called. When I was in America the baseball version was called Fever Pitch but I think it might have been called The Perfect Catch over here...anyone know? I'm still pretty sure it was an adaptation of Nick Hornby's book

shen Posted 16 November 2005 Posted 16 November 2005 what about "The Usual Suspects" "Kaiser Sosaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" One of my faves as well....but it's Kaiser SosE
shen Posted 16 November 2005 Posted 16 November 2005 I don't have just one favourite, although The Shawshank Redemption is definitely one of the films I would choose. What I like to watch pretty much depends on my mood. In general, I prefer cheerful films too To lovers of good films who don't mind subtitles, I can recommend the following: - "Il Postino" (the Postman)(1995) - "La Vita e' Bella" (Life is Beautiful) (1999) - - - another link here... - Kolya (Kolja) (1996), a Czech film All 3 of them are part of my film collection... La vita e bella is a great movie...one of a few movies that has genuinely touched me
Milky Posted 16 November 2005 Posted 16 November 2005 One of my faves as well....but it's Kaiser SosE yeh i know it is, i should have put an e instead of a. i knew how to pronounce it i just typed the wrong letter
cisono Posted 17 November 2005 Posted 17 November 2005 pretty women Was there more than one? pearl harbour Not the movie as such, surely... it is usually thought of as a flop!?!?!
moseeds Posted 18 November 2005 Posted 18 November 2005 Off the top of my head... ----------------------------- The Green Mile One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest (Everyone should watch this) Amistad Pulp Fiction Scarface Usual Suspects Pleasantville The Trueman Show Wall Street The Lord of The Rings Trilogy Grease (!) Saturday Night Fever (!!) From Dusk Till Dawn (I lv Salma!) American History X E.T. Star Wars [All] Ali G Innit (!!!) there's different films for different moods... of course Forest Gump, Godfather Series and Stand by Me flipping heck this list gets bigger and bigger..everyone has to watch City of God (cidade de deus) and Buffalo Soldiers.... and Platoon - top film but the icing for me is that scene where the soldiers are getting stoned in the hut singin along to "the tracks of my tears" by Smokey Robinson.
