I booked this on a drunken/hungover whim Friday morning, so am feeling so underprepared for it all

Its a mission enough out of Covid times, never mind with all these vaccine passes, tests and PLFs. All to get stabbed in the arse 😂

RE Police Escort

Are we taken it as a given that we’re getting one to the stadium? (Or coaches laid on) to avoid the said arse stabbing, or has there been an announcement I’ve missed?

What about after the Final Whistle? Kept in the ground presumably, but are we then getting escorted back to the original pick up point?

I’m pretty keen to avoid the palaver after Warsaw away, where we’re left trying to book Ubers

TIA

Don't worry about being stabbed in the arse, we had Ian Holloway as our manager for several months and survived that horrendous experience. If we can came through that, I'm sure we can manage a few thousand drug-crazed Napoletano ultras! ;)

Compulsory outdoor mask wearing in lots of areas of Rome in force today ahead of barring the unvaccinated from most stuff from Monday.  Not wanting to start a debate but these seem like very sensible measures in the current climate.

I'd already accepted the Italians were going to bring in similar or harsher entry requirements to what we've put in place so now it's the hope that's going to kill me!

You can never be sure but you'd think the exponential increase of Omicron cases across Europe is assumed and so far it doesn't sound like it's causing worse illness than any other variant.  My gut says we'll be fine but it'll be a nervous few days wait.

I arrived in Rime yesterday, no compulsory outdoor mask wearing at the moment.
They were very lax about checking my all of the documentation at the airport when I arrived. Nobody looked at the Covid test certificate! They just stamped my passport and let me through.
Very different to Warsaw, they spent ages interrogating me and going through my documents at passport control

At least Kelechi should get into Italy then.

Test in Italy to arrive back in the uk

but test needed for day 2 ?

if not it will work out cheaper as anigten test if allowed will be much cheaper than pcr

Sounds like we can take tests with us to use as well rather than having to get them in Italy

Ye just don’t think they’ll come in time for everyone.

I got quite lucky in that I ordered 4 antigen tests originally - 2 for going and 2 when we are back, and then they changed the return ones to PCR, so still got those 2 lying around to use

If you are only there for 48 hours, could you not use the same test to get into Italy and into the UK?

Yeah recon you would get away with it. I’m on a late flight back on Friday though

Absolute w ankers

It's a pain yes but the rule has been introduced to reduce the risk of people in this country dying.

What really bugs me is the single 1 away point granted to us for all the expense and testing we have to endure, which is the exactly same number of away points for driving down the M69 to Villa Park on a Sunday afternoon!!
