Boyd is starting to get some big clubs watch him and we've missed a trick here as we could of snapped him up for the money we paid for Gilbert and got some change back. He is scoring frequently for a very poor team and has done for 2 and a half seasons now. He's still only 21/22 and has the necessary experience of a few seasons to his name. He'd be worth a punt if we could snatch him away.

I believe Levein once said he didn't look go for Boyd or Trundle becuase Connolly was better. Now could be me, but both Trundle and Boyd score goals in there respective leagues and I know who'd I rather have. We could of sign both of them for what we recieved for Connolly. Maybe I have been harsh on Hume, but I think he's more of an attacking midfielder.

I sometimes wonder if we should go 3-5-2 and use Maybury and Sheehan as wingbacks and allow Hume a role behind the front 2. This would of been Connolly's best postion and I believe it's Hume's to.

It was Marcus Stewart and Lee Trundle he was referring to as not as good as Connolly. I did hear somewhere that Lee Miller and Kris Boyd were targets but Levein wanted to get a quick striker in and that's why Elvis was signed in the summer.
