Everywhere is easily driveable but a lot of the roads were worse than cattle tracks especially north of tirana and when you go towards a border (from the days when no one was allowed to leave so border roads were unused) so allow plenty of time.

Might have to dig out some photos if anyone is interested.

I’d be interested pls. Can’t be arsed with driving around Albania but some cool spots around Tirana would be ideal

I have booked flights to get me out there on the Tuesday night, when we get to the final my boss will be cool letting me go, but if we don’t I won’t get the time off as he is already on leave that week . I’ll finalise getting about back later on as that’s far easier than actually getting there as we all know. I went Ryanair Stansted to (Milan Bergamo) on the Tuesday afternoon for £7.99 and then an evening flight with Wizz Air from Milan (Bergamo) to Tirana for €29.99

What Time is the WIZZ leaving as I can fly from Paris to Milan on the Tuesday

We are sorted now. Opted for Air Albania to cut the wait in Milan and get to Tirana before midnight.

Something like 21:30 or 21:45. Worth mentioning that there are flights from both Malpensa and Bergamo by Wizz Air. So depending which airport your Paris flight goes to, pick the suitable one.

Orly as i live south of Paris area but it looks quite a good way . just hope Marseille do not get there otherwise the prices will go up like mad

Looks like that needs a night in Bergamo. Not the worst thing.

Flights have got even more expensive than earlier today. Trying hard to convince my dad to pre-book now rather than rely that some charter flights will be put on.  
 

Also looking at options like flying to Montenegro or Bari.

Flying via Italy might now be most cost effective.

For northern based Foxes.. prices already rising but there's a direct Wizzair from Liverpool to Tirana, Tuesday eve, back Thursday..

Quite tempted by by a Gatwick direct flight Tuesday to Friday. but expensive to change flights with easyJet if we don't get to the final. I can't justify the time off of work unless we are actually in the final. 

I'm having to beg a lot of favours to make it possible. 

 

Can't decide whether to go for it and take the £84 hit to change them to something else if I don't end up going or waiting and using SportsOptions if we do get there - knowing that that also won't be cheap!

You can get return flights from Stansted to Milan (Bergamo) for just £16 with Ryanair flying on the 24th and returning on the 26th and basically you are 75% there

 

You can then get a connecting flight with Wizz Air for the Milan (Bergamo) to Tirana leg.

Hello, Albania holiday snaps as discussed. I think it was pretty much exactly 15 years ago. This is the town of Shkodra, the first place you hit as you come from Montenegro. It was pretty basic.

Durres. Seems better now as a tourist destination but twas a dump back then. You would not get in the water.

Rural Albania. I think this was the town where Michael Palin sacrificed a sheep a couple of years later. You can see me getting into the green car with all the locals watching.
