Teams outside the Greedy Six should privately agree to not buy or loan any player from said group and their fellow European overlords.

We can't stop them cherry picking now but after a couple of summer windows they would have squads impossibly full and be unable to recruit further.  As contracts run down players would become available to be signed but without the fees that sustain the Six.

Other Cunning Plans welcome.

It's not their cherry picking that is the problem most teams cherry pick the best players from the teams below them. The problem is the massive gap between their ability to do and and the rest of the leagues.

Whilst the balance of rewards and financial rules continue to favour them it will continue.

The PL was set up by the bigger clubs in their favour sadly I see the Women's elite league going the same way.

The floodgates were opened many years ago the only way to close them is via FIFA and UEFA but they are both so corrupt and run by self interested people that it's an impossible dream to think that anything will happen.

Well you can stop right there intruding into my dreams with your truth and logic.

(I agree with everything you said and I detest what has happened but it doesn't stop the Baldrick in me)

Absolutely, it would be terrific to see their response which would probably to go crying to UEFA who would back them for fear of the Super League Phoenix.

After the Super League controversy, every club outside of the six that were invited should've just refused to play or do business with the Super League clubs until they were suitably punished (which they never were) with massive point deductions and transfer embargoes.

...you surely would be preventing a player from progressing his career,  and I am sure they would be reticent coming to our club!!!

Any aspirational player who breaks through while at our club, would surely despair if they could not progress their career, by going to a top 6 club, with all the revenue and kudos that it would bring.

No, you miss the point.

Outgoings to Greedy 6 entirely unaffected.

It's the outgoings from them of contracted players that I would embargo.

If you like it's an expansion of the system pioneered by Barcelona (and us) of having too many players on too much money that in the end could force a little sanity.

I'm quite warming up to this now😆

Salary cap is needed.  Perhaps one that is both soft and hard (insert classic foxestalk penis joke here). You pay $3 for every $1 you go over the soft cap up to a max hard salary cap.

If the so called super clubs where anything other than a football club they would already be bankrupt no other business would be allowed to continue business having the debt some of these clubs have. It’s only major sponsorship that’s keeping them afloat
