Leicester City are now ‘tracking’ Sheffield United defender Rhys Norrington-Davies, according to reliable journalist Pete O’Rourke.

THE LOWDOWN: ATTRACTING INTEREST
The left-back has completed multiple loan spells with the likes of Luton Town and Stoke City over the past few seasons, but has now nailed down a starting place at Bramall Lane since his return last summer.

The 23-year-old has played a significant role in helping the Blades reach the top of the Championship table as it stands, and his form appears to have attracted interest from the Premier League, with a trio of clubs, including the Foxes, name-checked.

THE LATEST: LEICESTER EYEING NORRINGTON-DAVIES
Taking to Twitter, O’Rourke confirmed that Leicester, alongside Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, are all monitoring Norrington-Davies ahead of a potential future move.

“Crystal Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth are tracking Sheffield United and Wales star Rhys Norrington-Davies.”

THE VERDICT: VAN DE BEEK AND NORRINGTON-DAVIES IN JANUARY?
Brendan Rodgers’ side have recently been heavily linked with a move for Manchester United’s Donny Van De Beek, and Norrington-Davies could be the next to follow in his footsteps and make the switch to the King Power Stadium.

I don't normally pay much to attention to players but he's caught my eye with how badly he played the few times I've watched him

Second left back we've been linked with recently. Wouldn't have particularly said we need to worry about full backs generally at the moment?

He's not terrible but I'm not sure I've ever seen him play and thought "yeah he's destined for the Premier League."

Perhaps its just me but personally I think other than the glaringly obvious rw spot, its the position we are weakest in

But its a position we're secure in.

We're about to lose Tielemans and, unless I'm mistaken, Praet (who isn't considered good enough anyways) and there's a strong chance we'll now lose Tielemans and Maddison in the same window.

We have no natural right winger of acceptable quality at the club, in fact we only have one winger at the club on either side who is good enough to push for the top six. His previous first choice option before our best centre mid went out there is out of contract at the end of the year.

The manager refuses to play two international centre backs and the one he will play isn't good enough and two of those three are also out of contract at the end of the year.

To top all of that off we have no Premier League quality goalkeeper at the club.

I think it's fair to say full backs aren't high on the list of priorities.
