L1 seems to have practically died now, barely heard them from the family stand on Saturday

I know a few in there said since about 2017 it’s really declined

So why is it always sk1 has to relocate? Why can’t all the l1 who want an atmosphere buy in the section? Makes more sense, however the drummer can stay in l1

Yup, most of the most vocal have either been banned, don’t go anymore or have moved to family stand with their kids.

You also had an influx of people getting season tickets in L1 just to “experience the atmosphere” yet don’t sing or get behind the lads.

I feel blessed to have got behind the lads and experienced the highs and lows in L1 for a good 15-20 years. Have had some fantastic memories in that block and made a lot of good friends. Lots of bruised elbows and knees too! There will never be a better atmosphere in our stadium again, period.

I now sit in a box and can safely say there’s more atmosphere in there than the last time I sat in L1 a couple of years ago.

On a side note, I thought the atmosphere was shocking yesterday as per usual.

They don’t, but clearly only a small minority want all that flag waving and jumping around with your back to the pitch. Otherwise it would be a resounding success by now. A lot of others realise how a spontaneous atmosphere can be created by having opposing fans next to each other

You make out like the poznan is attempted lol

The singing section isn’t a success in terms of the existing season ticket holders but it’s certainly a success when you open ticket sales up to others with cup games etc.

You can read from that what you want and make a good conclusion

I think a lot of them can’t get on board with the euro style stuff unfortunately

I just ain’t sure what people expect if all like minded fans congregate near the away fans then.. would all this euro clapping, flag waving, rows and rows of people doing the poznan just stop then?

I think there’s two type of fans. One side want a traditional spontaneous atmosphere and one want 90 minutes of solid backing for the team. I don’t think either is right or wrong. If you have fans near the away fans, that’ll probably be your more traditional lot which is what L1 is meant to be. Those that want the euro style will go to the section. The problem is neither of the sections are big enough. But there is also a distinct lack of effort among the fanbase as a whole. Ideally you would have a Southampton style (I know they’ve changed it now) approach where you have two groups of support boxing in the away fans and then a big section in the Kop. The club would hate that though unfortunately

You get my point though….

Sadly I don’t no. It may not be a success as it was thought at first, however whether you agree with this or not it has the potential to go in the right direction and can only get better.

Tranmere games suggests not to be honest, their big chance to make a show and was poor

Ok, it was a nod towards the side show Bob look a like mentioned on here a few times who spends all game with his back to the pitch trying to get the singing section going. Which is odd really when some of the biggest fans of that section say they don’t want to move because they don’t want to be doing w4nker signs all day to the away fans and want to watch the match and support the team. More to add on the hypocrisy at a later date if people want to go hard against that, or some Wally bans me from the thread again. But just for clarity if people think I’m trying to dig certain groups out, no I’m not, but those same

people need to understand that many other people want to support the team how THEY want, not how other tell them they should

edit- just to add more context, I don’t care if you support or do whatever, I’m a true liberal, but don’t expect everyone to conform and then say they are in the wrong if they disagree

The spontaneous atmosphere hasn’t helped L1 since 2017. If people want an actual atmosphere (whether they like the ultra style or not) SK1 is the only place for it

Some blokes box is better than L1 so doesn't say much.

The spontaneous atmosphere you are talking about is gone because the people that contributed to it back in the day don't give a **** anymore, they just want to moan at people who try to make an atmosphere in a way they don't like.

If people want a spontaneous atmosphere at Leicester over getting behind SK1 then they want silence for 85 minutes.

As a side note everybody should go to the San Siro at some point if they can. Been meaning to do it a while and it lived up to the hype. Fantastic place to watch football even if my view was a bit crap.

That looks great. Need to concentrate on getting a few European ground like San Siro, psg and Bilbao done next year.
Whilst your points make sense and I would agree with then normally highlighting mental health week has changed my stance. Many people may go to the match as a safe space or an escape from reality. They can sit there in silence for 90 mins for all I care if it helps them out.

Do you think P block will eventually become the new L1? Maybe for those fans that want to be near the away, that could be an option and start a new group there.

Is P Block not 'family' anymore? Just general admission adjacent to the away corner? Sounds like a better location than SK1 unless it's full of STH that won't move for the good of the atmosphere.

See, swap the Kop with the Family Stand. No ones ever thought of that :P

San Siro is a must. It's a spaceship - architectural beauty and now very run down in areas. Both teams despite being huge big six types can make some noise there.
