Jordan Posted 5 December 2005 Posted 5 December 2005 The Arcade Fire had a 2004 release date here (August, I think), so it topped my favorites from last year My favorite 2005 release is definitely "Apologies to the Queen Mary," the debut from Wolf Parade. I had a few of the others mentioned here (Decemberists, Kaiser Chiefs, LCD Soundsystem) on a "Best of 2005 so far" thread I had a few months ago, so I'm glad to see some of you have very refined musical tastes Favorite song is a toss up from two great ones on Wolf Parade's album--"Shine a Light" or "I'll Believe in Anything"--or "Magic Bar" by the Jessica Fletchers (about as good as a band can craft a pop song--haven't bought their album yet but I should soon).
