If TV was to move a Newcastle game to suit the Saudi viewers people would call it sportswashing. Why should we be allowed to do it for Thailand?

Its not been moved for the Thai audience has it? Surely we would have had a load more go that way if so.

Exactly. Loads of games get moved which I disagree with anyway for FA Cup, but it's not for Thailand reasons.

But it's more for BBC/ITV purposes that games get moved (as in Red Button coverage).

Several games always get moved these days to 12.30 for FA Cup games. I doubt the Thailand thing has any relevance.

They do for international broadcasting. Krefelder’s point is salient. Some clubs will prefer the 12.30 for Asian audiences rather than 5.30 where some other games will get moved to. So if asked a preference I suspect it would 12.30

By the way, I was just trying to find a valid reason, it wasn't a fact. And yes, I know games get moved. Is it due to the 3PM blackout? So they move games to other times to allow them to be broadcast on iplayer/red button etc.? Otherwise why move them if there are already other early/late televised games.

I know.

I'm guessing the main reason is to spread the audiences even more in UK, as opposed to foreign ones. I certainly don't think it's moved to 12.30 purely to cater for the Leicester/Thai connection.

You can get additional games shown on red button if there are separate kick off times.

Would the club have a choice?

4th round  Walsall 0 Leicester City 1  (scorer: Iheanacho)
5th round  Stevenage 0 Leicester City 1  (scorer: Iheanacho)
Qtr final  Grimsby Town 0 Leicester City 1  (scorer: Iheanacho)
