Changes to Football Rules You Would Like To See

Recommended Posts

Both teams get no points if a game finishes 0-0.

Have 5 VAR officials in separate booths that all independently review all incidents and then the on field referee goes with the majority decision.

Get rid of the rule where a player gets booked for celebrating in the crowd or taking their shirt off etc.

Allow physio's to enter the pitch while the ball is in play to treat players injured or faking injuries as long as they are not in the penalty box.

Teams have 10 seconds to take. Throw in, by the player nearest the ball or the ball goes to the opposition.

Any player that sits down without contact must be subbed. If no subs left then they leave the field and can't return.

If a foul means someone has to leave the field for treatment, the player that commited the foul also leaves the pitch for the same amount of time.

Any person seen holding a sign asking for gloves/shirt/boots gets an instant lifetime ban

VAR should have always been a challenge system to minimise disruption during the game. That way teams would only challenge if they were absolutely aggrieved by a particular decision. Instead of actively looking to chalk off goals that no one complained about

Or appealing for a penalty every 2 minutes .
