Just for a bit of fun, what is the best XI you can make from players who only played for Leicester for a single season (or less)?

 

I'd go with:

GK Marton Fulop

RB Kerrea Gilbert

LB Ben Thatcher

CB Curtis Davies

CB Ben Mee

CM Mark Draper

CM N'Golo Kante

CM Esteban Cambiasso

RF Marcus Bent

LF Ademola Lookman

CF Les Ferdinand

 

(Centre mid was easy, centre-back less so...)

Yeah he was a great signing. I was gutted when we couldn't make him permanent.

Originally on loan for a month I recall but we extended it for few more months before he signed for Bolton. He was really good but only played a hatful of games.

He only came in to build his fitness up for 1mth due to a serious injury but we managed to extend to around 3 and I thought we would sign him perm in the January but he ended up going to Bolton and having a decent career with them when Big Sam had them fighting near the top with all those star names he managed to get in, that was some team.

Definitely some good attacking players and midfielders. Hard to think of any noticeable centre backs though. Davies and Mee were ok but nothing Earth shattering, hard to think of anyone better though.

Agree Would have Vitor and Drago in for those 2

My memory of Dragovic is largely one of disappointment tbf and a player who I was excited about but was largely a bit naff. Tunchev played a few games in the Championship after come back from injury else he’d have been a great shout. I also thought about Phil Gilchrist who was ok if nothing special at PL level but apparently he was here 18 months.

Mark Davies didn't play under Allardyce at Bolton, I don't think Allardyce was even still at Bolton prior to Davies joining us on loan from Wolves. I think you're thinking of Kevin Davies

Your right seems it was just after big Sam left, I just remember Bolton being rather entertaining around that time and memory thought that’s why he chose Bolton rather than staying at Wolves or signing for us.

Just checked Gary frigging Megson 😂 although they were still in premiership so probably that’s why he signed 😝
