Agree with this, not seen enough of Kop to see if she can really challenge Janina, she basically played a DM role at Derby and had very little to do last night until the last 5 minutes.

She is apparently widely regarding as one of the best young keepers around. That was even mentioned here on FT so clearly this must be the case... She just seemed really assured with the ball at her feet and most of her distribution was spot on. Leitzeg is a shot stopping machine and we need one, considering we look like leaking goals, but some of her distribution isn't great and results in the ball coming straight back at us half the time. I can see Kop putting some real pressure on the number one spot which is great. 1

Imagine there’s a real chance Leitzig moves to a Champions League club in the summer for a decent fee, looks set to be a goalkeeping merry go round amongst the top clubs, and Kop is frankly too good to be a #2 for us 3

Lineker's Lugs Posted 28 January 2024 Posted 28 January 2024 Pretty even game on chances. Interesting to see Kop in a more competitive game than the cup ties. She's done well overall. Leicester still need to address the glaring weakness at centre back that's been there since promotion.
