It’s appears to be the perfect level of fitness currently.

 

Fit without being knackered.

 

I had thoughts we were fit but overtraining and knackered in games over the last few years - which was where I thought injuries stemmed from (it seems injuries are still happening however).

 

I mean when the club put videos out there was never a ball in sight, running, running and more running, albeit in slow motion, at least we see some ball work in the videos being put out now.

The fitness levels are great, but we also have insane depth at this level so we don't have to run players into the ground like Brendan did.

...Rodgers had his favourites, they were not run into the ground, and they were unfit and poorly coached!!!

Great to see them looking Fit and Sharp. On a slight downside, the 70% reduction in Matchday Pie sales since Tielemans moved on (or rather wobbled his way to Villa) may need addressing.

I think it helps having Tielemans not at the club anymore, he was in the team week in week out and simply not fit. Maddison, another candidate for alway being 80% fit - despite him being an exceptional player. A general lack of fitness throughout the team too.

Really rate everything that Maresca is doing so far. Not gonna get too excited though as I was ready for Rodgers to sign a lifetime contract in December 2019
