john_lcfc Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 well how do you see the henry situation now he hasnt been playing at all for ages. i think its better he was an old embarrassing fool in my opinion. however heard a rumour a small section of fans were chanting we want henry back on saturday so i thought id see what you lot think
Guest Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 He got some support at the Open Meeting, however the general consensus is people didn't like it. If the club was to ask the question, would people respond, say in a questionnaire or whatever?
Cobbo Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I hate that new jazzed up version they insist on playing, it's just embarrasing Henry is also this though. Just play the **** original!
Anish Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I hate that new jazzed up version they insist on playing, it's just embarrasing Henry is also this though. Just play the **** original! Exactly. It was awful. Stick to the traditions, plain and simple. It was cringe worthy stuff (the PHG remix)
adam Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 i say let him play at 2.45 before i get in the ground!!

I think we all should instead of moaning a la lush
Oadlad Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I, and everone round me prefers the new version.
Cobbo Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I, and everone round me prefers the new version. Why?
davieG Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I think he should just play it from his seat in the stand when the moment takes him - let's have a bit of spontaneity
werestandingup_weresittingdown Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 i am at a complete loss as to why the original version would ever be tampered with?? WHAT IS THE FOOKIN POINT???????? Its not like the club were beseiged with complaints year after year about the old version surely?? I remember it coming on at the league cup final at wembley-great feeling. Its a part of our heritage and history and used to love hearing it as the boys ran out as it is completely unique to us. i can understand why they persisted for a while with henry because in theory a live version should be great. unfortunately it was pretty terrible but for the original tune to then be savaged by some knob twiddling twat beggars belief. All Leicester fans should boo when this is played until the original is re-instated. dont let the club ruin everything that makes leicester great.
Durnerz Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 The new one is a bag of shite. We already got rid of one person ruining the "atmosphere" pre match, and we've replaced it with something worse. I hate both this version and Henrys, keep the old one! Plus get a bit of Faithless - Insomnia pre match too before the teams come out, played it at Celtic and not heard it since.
Hullfox Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 I think he should just play it from his seat in the stand when the moment takes him - let's have a bit of spontaneity If he played it when the moment took him and I was sat in front, I'd shove his bloody Horn up his arse fat end first. that would kill the debate dead once and for all.
holly Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 do prefer original, but didnt think the new one was that bad, everyone around me was dancing away!!!
davieG Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 If he played it when the moment took him and I was sat in front, I'd shove his bloody Horn up his arse fat end first. that would kill the debate dead once and for all. spoil sport
Matt Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 If he played it when the moment took him and I was sat in front, I'd shove his bloody Horn up his arse fat end first. that would kill the debate dead once and for all. I sit quite near him (About 3 rows up in the next block) and when he plays it, I just boo and a few other around me do also, Harsh I know, but he was fuked off by the club for a reason but now he's playing the stands everyone loves him, when I know alot of fans don't want him playing it. And when he walks up to his seat I have to cringe, He acts as if he's royalty, and everyone is his number 1 fan, waving and pointing Also Stewards take umbrella's off anyone who brings them, Henry brings his horn in box, which could be used as an "offence weapon" just like a umbrella, so why isn't the horn box and horn took off him? I know its unlikly an old bloke like Henry would use it as a weapon but theres plenty of other old blokes and women who bring umbella's they are removed from them, also another unlikly secenario but what about the threat of explosives placed in his horn box? I'm just making the point if it was anyone else who bought a horn (or anything similar) into the seated areas, it would be removed, but why not from Henry?

Also, last I read you werent allowed to bring ANY musical style instruments into the Stadium so another rule broken there. When Henry used to play he thought the crowd were applauding him - err no buddy they are applauding the team coming out
Durnerz Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 do prefer original, but didnt think the new one was that bad, everyone around me was dancing away!!! How can you dance to THAT? Must be putting an extra "ingrediant" in the pies.

Katy Posted 20 December 2005 Posted 20 December 2005 How can you dance to THAT? Must be putting an extra "ingrediant" in the pies. When it was being played on saturday I looked around the ground and could see a few sections of the crowd (including the Crewe fans) jigging away to it - maybe it was ironic jigging

Deathside Posted 21 December 2005 Posted 21 December 2005 Henry and his bástard horn symbolise fox hunting - Something I don't have any desire to be associated with
davieG Posted 21 December 2005 Posted 21 December 2005 Henry and his bástard horn symbolise fox hunting - Something I don't have any desire to be associated with It symbolises the arrival of the post, as in POST horn gallop by stagecoach. It has nothing whatsoever to do with foxhunting.

You we're offered to play just a 2.45pm by the club but no that wasn't good enough was it? So you decide to annoy people who sit around you, and break rules whilst the stewards are to busy to notices the rules your breaking and making everyone else abide by them...
