On that note, I'm not the biggest fan of Mazzu but his point per game average has been very strong and from what I can find probably the best average of any of our managers when we were in first division. The only ones doing as good or better are Leko, Mathijssen and and Euvrard, but all of them managed mostly 1B games.

What a solo goal by Ikwuemesi.

Looks like it was a bizarre game though. From the highlights, Brugge could and should've probably score 4 or 5 goals, yet Schrijvers could have claimed a point had he struck a decent penalty.

And there was the thrashing that was avoided against Club Brugge 🫣😫.

Three of the four King Power teams in the relegation places at this stage, with the last one comfortably in first. Ambivalent.

Wow, taken apart! It looks like you’re going through the same tragedy as Leicester @Bonanza

To be fair, we were actually the better team in the first half, but the forced substitutions of both our wing backs changed the game. Lost our structure, made stupid mistakes on every single goal conceded and fell apart.

That said, we've been playing far better after the winter break than we were in 2025 so to assume we're seeing the same things as Leicester is a bit of a stretch. What we do have is a club that has been woefully mismanaged financially. Our wage cost is basically higher than reigning champions Union's. The new management (appointed in summer 2024) has been working on bringing that down, and a lot of those huge contracts will run out this summer which will hopefully provide room to finally start properly rebuilding the squad.

Exactly what's happening to us. Top and Rudkin at it again.

Another fantastic strike for your goal by the way. Somewhat reminiscent of the famous Toby Yeboah goal the way it bounces in off the crossbar.

I know, but the notable difference is that we've actually had a change in management who are trying to clean this all up. Partially forced by KP though, we are unwilling to back transfers financially until the books are cleared.

Yeah, there's been a lot of criticism for Gil (justified, as he had an atrocious first half of the season) but his last five or six games have been top notch, with this goal as the icing on the cake.

Reverse uno from last week, where we should have won 4-1 but lost 0-1. We now won 0-2 but should have lost 4-1. Important win though as we jump over Zulte Waregem out of the playdowns places with one game to go, at home against Antwerp.
