Expecting plenty of sales - after all that's why we've been playing them, to put them in the shop window apparently.

Unfortunately I don't see any transfers being in the cards for us. Marti was probably told at the beginning of the season that he needed to deliver with the squad he had, now it seems our hopes are turning away from promotion to damage limitation and making a stronger effort next season. Instead of looking externally we need to look at our academy players as the hope for the future, it might not be this year, but giving those younger players with a higher ceiling a year to gel and build a team identity is better than what I'm currently watching. As it stands I don't see too many realistic pathways to promotion at this stage. The club are not going to go out and splash cash in January on players for a manager they may sack. And they will have hopefully learned a lesson that breaching PSR is an unending catch 22 that has to stop at some point.

My overall thoughts are that this squad doesn't need a few additions, it needs a big shake up - its not like we've hit some dip in form and just need to discover winning ways.  They haven't had any real form under Marti. If we aren't going to change the manager, we need to change the players. Without cash, the academy is really our only hope right now of getting the shake up we need. It wouldn't be pretty, but it might just be the thing our club needs to hit the reset button.

A striker on loan please, someone not getting games in the prem perhaps.

Shift what we can in terms of players on big wages.

This season is about damage limitation, and a mid table finish. Shift some costs and spend very little.

We were never looking likely to do better than that. Marti was one of the few managers willing to come on that basis. We are not in a position to buy our way to promotion.

I would like to see some progress on the pitch in terms of youngsters coming through and more ambitious tactics.

The club waited until last possible moment to sack RVN, appointed a mid-table Championship manager late on, only mades deadline day loan signings and frees in the summer.

I think that suggests that they're expecting a points deduction and to tread water this season. We never have good Jan windows under this ownership.

I'd be amazed if we did anything extraordinary

I'd settle just for anything half competent

I expect zero business In January. Top and Rudkin will probably be on an extended holiday anyway.

Well...  more like we won't be able to shift any dross
