San Marino denied a point against Albania by an injury time penalty.

Excellent from England again on Harry's big night.

Which naturally he christened with a couple of goals.

Because they're fresher, fitter, and less knackered than after a long season perhaps?

Freshness probably helps, but I don’t think it explains the difference on its own. You can be fitter and still press badly, leave gaps and look disjointed. What looks different to me is the timing of the press, how compact we are and the players seeming to know exactly when to go and when to hold. That feels much more tactical than simply having fresher legs.

Since moving from Tottenham to Bayern Munich, Harry Kane has gone from being a top class premier league player to world class. That move has certainly gave him that extra upgrade. That upgrade has certainly showed also in an England top, Bellingham is certainly getting their with Real Madrid and we are seeing the same slowly with Gordon at Barcelona. Tells you we need more English players testing themselves abroad.... in that so called golden generation this was something we really lacked, at the time we only really had Beckham and Hargreaves that were playing abroad and maybe briefly Owen.

When all is said and done I wonder Kane will regret not leaving Spurs a good 5 years before he actually did.

He was World Class at Tottenham. People just never credited him/liked him because of some weird hatred of Tottenham. His goalscoring record at both clubs is phenomenal.
