You are probably right. 

 

I was thinking Schlupp can play a number of positions and would bring experience which we will need. He has always struck me as a good pro too. He played in the champions League for Celtic before Christmas. And he has his Leicester past.

So below is a best case of successful summer activity, when you map it out its insane how much we are paying these guys and the length of contracts we have. By not renewing 7 players and ending the loans of 4 others we are already saving £400k+ a week. The real challenge sits around those that are in contract on high weekly wages and what their resale value actually is as we will be looking to get players out the door to remove the exposure of ongoing wages. At least three of them are a high risk of making a loss when you factor in existing liability. Sadly we will have to lose on some players which will wipe out profit of others (Fatawu and El Khannouss for example). 

 

With a few experienced additions and nobody earning more than £10k a week we might be able to get some balance back in the dressing room. 

 

You then enter into the next challenge, being competitive enough to get back up at the first try with the running cost of Seagrave destroying any head room you have for further investment.

Agents will be on overtime with the likes of Winks and Skipp desperate for moves. 

Not entirely convinced with some of these kids, would have been far better showing them the ropes in the championship to prepare for league one but Rowett has held them back.

I also believe he has the option of another year at Leicester.

So can you imagine another club, that may want him, need him, paying that much?

I understand Brentford we’re talking about £50k a week or £2.6m per annum

So your Harry, do you stay and collect £4.68m or leave and on balance lose half your income, (or more) just as you approach the autumn of your career

So Harry what would you prefer, should you stay or should you go?

Wasn’t it stated by JP that’s winks is on £45k pw ( still a lot) and he automatically trigger an extension due to our promotion under Enzo. Which, if we sell him for any fee, would help us, with the saving in wages too?

We seem to have the same story unfold season after season with these players like Winks.
 

I wonder if every club has these ‘tools down’ type of players or is it just a Rudkin/weak owner thing.
