Nomads missed their chances first half, Macc finally turned up second half with the fitness as well.

Always going to happen that.

But well played nomads.

Stafford Rangers done it again, battered Gateshead at home 5-0! not surprised Stafford won this to be fair Gateshead looking doomed this season, but wow losing five nil away to a team two levels below. Should be a cracking atmosphere against Grimsby in the first round.

Wont be long before the Nomads are playing there as well. Especially if they get planning permission. Plenty of room to grow whereas Cropston Road they really are stuck.

Good for the club , but in my view the 1st team should play in Anstey.  A majority of locals like the fact you can walk to the game.

Can see attendances taking a hit if they move to Beaumont.

Yeah i know what you mean as im born and bred Anstey. Its obviously upto the club and the supporters will have a say. All depends on what direction they want to go in i suppose.

Blame should be deflected to the local council. When the Nomads put their planning application, the local district/parish council showed very little support for Nomads putting something in place what would guarantee a long term future in Anstey. Allowing them to make decent money and start looking towards altering the pitch.

It’s a five to ten minute bus ride from Anstey to Beaumont Leys. And a five minute drive. I think they have found a site remarkably well really.

It’s crap but there are far worse examples and situations.

it’s very similar to Alvechurch’s long protracted move into Birmingham City boundaries

Its only a 15 minute walk as well. If you go across Castle Hill country park (bottom of the Nomads ground) bridge over the a46 and it brings you out where the new ground would be. Itll certainly be an interesting next decade for them.
