Couldn't see a thread.

I usually love catching the highlights at 7pm each night but the catastrophic loss of ITV coverage really has made an impact.

The coverage on 5 is just amateur garbage in comparison.

Not happy.

Been catching the highlights on YouTube. Gonna be a two horse race isn't it, hopefully with Jonas in good form off the Giro it is at least up for grabs between the two of them until the last few days.

Nah, no-one will get close to Pogacar. The way he's nullified the gap within two stages just screams that he's untouchable. It's a question of how big the gap will be to Vingegaard. Del Toro might even push hi for second place.

They basically take the TNT coverage I think?

As others put off by the dreadful coverage, I watched some of Saturday's and it was pants. The Eurosport stuff with Orla and others was superb as an alternative to ITV4 as well. Perfect example where the dominance of Pogacar is really hurting the sport. Speaks volumes that the Netflix series came to a conclusion.

Pogacar just turned on the afterburners in the last final stages of yesterday. Vingegaard must have had that same sinking feeling as he's had in the last few years.

I love cycling and follow the Tour pretty closely.

Pogacar is just too good, and Jonas is probably just a tad better than the rest. But the battle for the third place will be very interesting with Remco, Del Toro, Seixas, Lipowitz and Ayuso.

Bit boring though.

Not his fault but doesn't make for great viewing when the tdf is essentially won after 6 stages

At least he doesn't compete for the other Grand Tours regularly. He's even winning World Championships, Monuments, Classics. He does it all. Will easily go down as the best cyclist ever.

Eddy Merckx was great, but he was also tainted from doping, so for me it's not even a contest.

In hindsight, it seems unbelievable how Vingegaard won the Tour twice against Pogacar. A bit like Ronaldo/Messi, it just might have pushed Pogacar to up his game to an unseen level.

I fully and I mean fully, respect the rider. It's a privilege to be able to watch a cyclist of that ability during your lifetime when you consider the history.

It's just a boring from a spectacle point of view when on the biggest mountains in the cycling world there is absolutely no fighting in the traditional sense.

It's just a one man time trial where the man doesn't even sweat whilst everyone else looks like they are going to die.

Yeah, that is the downside of having a one-of-a-kind rider like him. It's down to the other teams to find a way to beat him. Visma are the only real challengers and right now they are lacking in nous and strength. It's a bit like watching PSG or Bayern dominate their domestic leagues.
