Has your Wife/Husband/Partner 'turned' into their Mother/Father?

Recommended Posts

It used to be common advice back in the day - perhaps still is - but it was suggested you looked at the mother of your girl friend because that would be how she would turn out in personality/beliefs/looks/figure etc. For girls it was the father.

I've noticed more and more traits aligned with my mother-in law, as Mrs.FFF grew older, likewise, I see similarities with my own Dad.

Thankfully, Mrs. FFF isn't quite a clone.........yet.

It's when your wife turns into their father that you should worry.

It's our 25th weddding anniversary next week and my wife looks and acts more like her late mother each day.

I got on really well with my MIL in her later years so i guess that bodes well.

I'm definately turning into my Dad and notice my traits are just like his.

It's all a bit spooky but inevitable I guess.

I'll certainly be telling my lad to check out his GFs Mum's before he gets too serious with any of them.

Mrs Para is becoming a lot like her late mum in terms of looks/build but her traits and outlook and interests are absolutely her late dad.

Me? Every time I look in the mirror I see my dad at my age now. Also Mrs Para says I'm becoming as grumpy and snappy as he was.
