l444ry Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 but he has played MORE games ffs He has played 9 more games and got 4 more bookings. Still not clever though is it? Either way he is letting the side down on that part of his game.
Frenzied Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 no because joey can do that roll and then we have a williams or hughes to be creative and help score goals, and if he is so effective why do we conceed so many goals??? I would rather have either Hughes or Williams instead of Gudjonsson or Kisnorbo but my point is fans booing players makes them nervous and then more prone to mistakes. Furthrmore, I don't believe Gudjonsson is that good as a holding player; whether or not he is better than Kisnorbo in that role I don't know, as I've not seen a confident Kisnorbo play yet. At present I would probably go for Gudjonsson. Also we were conceeding goals before Kisnorbo came to the club. Unfortunately the sloppy goals, in my opinion, are often down to the lack of command and organisation from Douglas (reminds me of Martin Hodge). Although Palace's first today was Maybury's fault.
breadandcheese Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Joey is not a good holding midfield player. It is no short significance that he plays his best football when Kisnorbo is alongside him. Against Norwich alongside Williams, he was not as effective.
Jimmy Posted 8 January 2006 Author Posted 8 January 2006 i think its safe to say he's saying, otherwise he wouldnt of played tonight
shen Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 i think its safe to say he's saying, otherwise he wouldnt of played tonight Well he was put in the shop window with it being a televised game... Wouldn't be surprised if Man City came in for him after todays performance...
Jimmy Posted 9 January 2006 Author Posted 9 January 2006 yes but his value will have droped now he's cup-tied
Lichfieldfox. Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 Man City are looking at too many others for midfield to come in for Gareth. With them looking to sign Danny Murphy from Charlton I can't see Williams moving to manchester and sitting on bench at best. Okay i'm selfish and think we need him week in week out.The midfield last night were fantastic (Hamill apart - not good enough even for this league).
Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 The Williams transfer saga is a myth, granted he's class at times but would a premiership team really want him? I think his future lies at Leicester. One our day there can't be many teams in this league with 5 class midfielders in Smith, Williams, Hughes, Gudjonsson and Wesolowski.
