Jimmy Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 where was he, he played well on saturday yet today he wasn't even on the bench, something is very wrong when kisnorbob gets in but gaz dont
Libertine Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Well, Joey's suspended so he'll hopefully play against Spurs/Sheff.
Cobbo Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Well seeing as he wasn't even on the bench - on his way?
Mark Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Staggering decision. If he's leaving then i can understand, but he played against Norwich and he played well just a few days ago. The fact he wasn't named as a sub, when players like Kisnorbo start the game, is unforgiveable.
davieG Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Well I suspect as he hasn't played many 90 minutes for a while (some would say he didn't against Norwich ) that CL thought 2 games in 48 hrs was too much for the poor soul. Or it could be because he was at fault for the Norwich goal who knows?
Dr The Singh Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 I took a couple of mates to the Norwich game who are not city fans (poor fellas) they were very impressed with Williams and thought he was city's best player. They were not surprised that prem teams were interested in him!!!
Bert Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Well, Joey's suspended so he'll hopefully play against Spurs/Sheff. Joey isn't suspended for Spurs. And if Man City are after Williams i can't see him playin in the FA Cup either.
Sir JJ Wilcox Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 levein seems to think he is 10 bookings 2 games
Bert Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 levein seems to think he is 10 bookings 2 games It said on the radio he'll miss Sheff Weds and Cardiff. Anyway with the bookings can this be seen as commitment or just sloppyness?? Sloppyness for me.
ROSSINDA Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Well I suspect as he hasn't played many 90 minutes for a while (some would say he didn't against Norwich ) that CL thought 2 games in 48 hrs was too much for the poor soul. IMO I think C L honestly rates "Kisuseless" over Williams and if he hadn't been ill for the Norwich game he would have played and Williams would have been warming the bench again. Now if this isn't proof that C L is Fuc**ng mental and needs locking up so we can save out club then I don’t know what

martyn Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Kisnorbo was turd yet again today though Joey wasn't much better.
Babylon Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Well nothing you have said is proof, it's just an opinion so do you have to be quite so nasty in your condemnation. Seems to be lots of this going around at the moment. Most people seem to have lost all rational thought.
Frenzied Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Kisnorbo was turd yet again today though Joey wasn't much better. I actually think Kisnorbo is a half decent player, he wins a lot of balls, which is his job. His problem is that he makes a a few basic errors, which seems to be due to confidence - something that isn't helped by some of our fans booing him. It baffles me as to why some of our fans boo some players for making mistakes and not others. For example Smith made a good few mistakes today but there wasn't a whisper from our fans.
Jimmy Posted 2 January 2006 Author Posted 2 January 2006 because smith has the ability to creat a goal out of nothing wjere as kisnorbob cant seem to pass the ball more than 5 yards, run or shoot, i dont blame him, he is actually a DEFENDER and has looked good when used as such, he's just a fish out of water
martyn Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 He does win the occasional tackle but how many times today, especially 2nd half, did Leicester have possession up the field, Palace won it back and 1 pass completely exposed our defensive 4 with no-one to protect them. Kisnorbo should be there to mop up, but more often than not he's caught in no-mans land. Leigertwood did the job properly for Palace and very rarely did we have any time to play football in front of their back line.
holly Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 willaims got off the bus, was well shocked when saw he wasnt starting or even on the bench, that man is off his rocker not playing him! and the guy that think joey is sloppy, get a grip mate do you ever watch any games?? he has been the most consistant player as of late his performances havent been as good as they were but you cannot call him sloppy this season!!!
Thracian Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 It has become patently clear that City will very rarely collect any points unless they score goals and to score goals you need to have creative players and potential marksmen. Kisnorbo doesn't assist either cause. As I see it we have to score goals and we have to win games to survive, not just keep on drawing or losing because we have to assume the other bottom teams will improve. The problem with Levein is the defence is not good enough so he provides em with extra insurance (Kisnorbo/Tiatto) and hopes for a breakthrough from somewhere. My major criticism of many is that Levein is no natural attacker, he's naturally cautious and you just won't solve this situation by being uncertain about anything. The same flaws are reflected in the way he casts players aside for their mistakes. He doesn't even have faith in his OWN judgement.

Jimmy Posted 2 January 2006 Author Posted 2 January 2006 in another thread someone asked if joey having 10 bookings was comitment or sloppyness, 10 bookings halfway into a season is not a big problem for a combative midfielder such as joey
Frenzied Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 because smith has the ability to creat a goal out of nothing wjere as kisnorbob cant seem to pass the ball more than 5 yards, run or shoot, i dont blame him, he is actually a DEFENDER and has looked good when used as such, he's just a fish out of water But Kisnorbo is doing his job as a holding player, albeit with a few mistakes. So because he isn't a flair player he should be booed? Now don't get me wrong, from what I've seen so far from Kisnorbo looks ok and I guess may develop well with a bit of confidence. But my point is that fans booing him will make him nervous and prone to mistakes. This was exemplyfied today when there were ironic cheers directed at Douglas when he came for the ball and his subsequent kick was poor.
Jimmy Posted 2 January 2006 Author Posted 2 January 2006 no because joey can do that roll and then we have a williams or hughes to be creative and help score goals, and if he is so effective why do we conceed so many goals???
l444ry Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 in another thread someone asked if joey having 10 bookings was comitment or sloppyness, 10 bookings halfway into a season is not a big problem for a combative midfielder such as joey I appreciate the hero worship Gudjonsson gets on this board (like Smith) but his 10 bookings are an appalling reflection on his discipline. Compare his 10 bookings with that of Robbie Savage's 6 at Blackburn. No way is he more combative than him.
