dynamite foxes Posted 8 January 2006 Posted 8 January 2006 he still lacks a final ball, but when he runs at players he really looks dangerous

Gené and Tonic Posted 8 January 2006 Posted 8 January 2006 Taylor made for the Arsenal team, and a perfect replacement for Pires

Matt Posted 8 January 2006 Posted 8 January 2006 Taylor made for the Arsenal team, and a perfect replacement for Pires Except he's not french/foreign
Jimmy Posted 8 January 2006 Posted 8 January 2006 He'll be a star for you. Just let him improve with us please yes he needs another 3-4 years i think
Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 Smith was excellent, but I thought it was one of his quieter games last night, that's how good the lad is! It appears he isn't getting the ball as much as he should do, I hope the other players start passing to him because I think the lad is on the verge of one of his devastating performances like Sheffield United.
BartonFox Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 He needs to learn to defend first before he is even close to good enough for Arsenal's first team. Was disappointed in him last night, not one of his better games although his stand-up cross for Stearman was excuted very well.
Lichfieldfox. Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 We'll polish him up for you.Did well for a change tracking back in defence.Still lacks some final ball skills and vision however pace scares other defences.I thought similar to Aaron Lennon who skinned an out of position maybury too often for my liking.
The People's Hero Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 He needs to learn to defend first before he is even close to good enough for Arsenal's first team. Was disappointed in him last night, not one of his better games although his stand-up cross for Stearman was excuted very well. Don't want much do you?

Was disappointed in him last night, not one of his better games although his stand-up cross for Stearman was excuted very well. I think your probably right. I personally don't think he needs to worry about his defensive technique at the minute because he's still very in-experienced when it comes to first team football. He's an old fashioned winger and they don't do much defending, having said that I did think Smith tracked back well in the second half. I wasn't disappointed in him, that's abit unfair on the lad but I thought he wasn't as lively as he usually is. The other players need to start giving him the ball more, he's due a phenomenal display soon like the Sheff United game.
Chimp Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 No, you bloody well can't have him back, he loves it here and it would break his little heart to be dragged back down to London. Do the right thing - sell him to us or extend his loan deal for another year.
BartonFox Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 Don't want much do you? No I don't, I just want my players to have the basic techniques in place, it isn't too much to ask <_< The boy has ability and is potentialy a very good player but until he learns the defensive aspect of the game he'll never be good enough for Arsenal.
