Well done to the chaps who backed Dressed To Dance and Directas Digger. Those two won me £200 last night as I had a fiver on each and then a fiver double. My tipping source is back on track now. I suppose that will now lead to a drought!

I also had a tenner on Ballack to score at any time last night, so all in all i've got back £235 off £25 worth of bet's yesterday. Leaves me in a very nice position for Ascot.

There will be a betting frenzy today from me, I will be windmilling bet's in all over the shop.

Holland are 23/10 to win tonight with Skybet, is that worth a punt considering they'll have a weakened team out and the Romanians have a very good chance of qualifying? I'm unsure on that game. I suppose the draw looks the best bet at 11/4.

Fleeting Spirit should piss it but one thing I never do is bet horses big on the back of a win!

I always stick to my usual stakes and that way I won't be too disappointed if it goes tits up.

I'm going for a £1 Canadian (£26) on the first five races although I'm tempted not to bet on Henrythenavigator at 8/13 so back something in the last instead.

The thing is though with the way the tournament is lined up, Holland could well end up playing whoever finishes second in their group in the semi's. Who would you rather play? Italy, France or Romania? I can see a draw double being likely.
