Because they are extremely unfunny and blatant lies. Please stop posting utter bollocks about Birch.

What? And like most the rumours aren't lies on here?

I just have a different view to the subject, it's not exactly a fair forum to express your own views is it Ric?

I would like to complain about this ..

How'd mean?

I mean people don't have first hand experience of his day at work. I would proably have the same opinion as most others had I not seen the LCFC gravy train first hand. Although he did lend me two quid for my lunch.

I'll hold my hands up that it was a long time ago, so maybe things have changed in his daily routine.

Yeah, obviously people do not know the in's and out's about birch, but i think most people like me who have been going since a young age feel without his presence at the club, well it just is not the same.

I feel birch does a great job, it shows the affect he has on the players as (apparently) they nearly did not turn up against Ipswich, and to be honest i could see that possibly happening.

Its not his comedian side i like about Birch, its just the things he does and comes out with that make me laugh, he doesnt rearly try to be funny (at city) but just is in a stupid way.

If anyone had done that, the board would have my blessing to transfers list any player or sack any member of coaching staff. Stuff like that has nothing to do with them really.

Agree with your other points.

IS the Birch still around or what?

Im baffled, just been on Talking Balls and Tim Davies says he knows nothing about 3 people being sacked at the club, including Birch!!

Link on talking balls:-

Leicester City today insisted that there had been 'no redundancies' at the club despite rumours to that effect posted on various fans websites yesterday.

The comment follows an extraordinary saga which developed over the posting on websites of the claim that three important City employees had been made redundant, including the legendary match-day crowd rouser Alan Birchenall.

But today, in an email to Vitalfootball Leicester City, the club's Chief Executive Officer, Tim Davies said: 'This was all news to me.'

'Whilst it is club policy not to comment on personnel issues, as you will appreciate, I can confirm that there have been no redundancies.'

Furthermore, he said 'Rob (Kelly) did not refuse to take the team to Ipswich,' (something he was alleged to have considered according to the website posting).

Leicester City took the unusual step yesterday of asking for the post and its duplicates to be removed from various websites on the basis of allegedly libellous material.

This was done but not before the seemingly outrageous claims about the employees, the team, and about former club chairman Mr Martin George's involvement had caused great consternation and embarrassment at the club.

The claims about Kelly and George seemed so contrived and unlikely that Vitalfootball Leicester City decided not to give them the dignity of an airing and Mr Davies confirmed 'it was all rumour'.

He also said 'I don't know anything about where Martin George has been plucked from'.

Such was the effect of the website postings that, by the end of the day, fans were starting to debate whether to have a 'Save the Birch campaign on behalf of a man considered to be a part of the club's furniture.

It was all deeply upsetting and unsettling for the parties concerned and apparently totally ficticious considering the comments from Leicester City themselves.

Someone started a rumour - everyone believed it, forums were told to take these rumours down as they were libelous. people started ranting and raving and it looks like it was a hoax. Same person as the Tim Davies one perhaps??

I don't mind you expressing your opinion, but on several seperate occasions you've randomly made up a pathetic rumour about Birch. Yes, there are lots of rumours that get posted on here and most turn out to not be true. If there are any that are blatantly made up then they get removed immediately. If you don't like the fact that you get posts and threads deleted when you've lied then don't lie.

If you still have a problem, either a) **** off or b) PM Mr C and complain about it, he owns the site.

£30K a year is a lot of money, I don't know everything Birch does, perhaps he earns it, perhaps he does not. £30K, what's that then? 1-2 months wages for a player? These feckers get the wedge even if they do fook all.

The club wheel him out for RL and Mockery interviews and he presents a positive image of the club. I don't begrudge him his salary, not if we can pay Lee Morris all this time for 0 contribution.

Sorry folks, but there is something in this, why do you think that statements are being released and arses are flapping at Castle Greyskull?

To release statements over a trumped up PA man is a bit strange wouldn't you say? There is trouble at mill!!!

I've been reading your posts on another site, very interesting. Do you really think it's only a matter of time before 'he' gets the boot?
