Trio Back In Training

Matty Fryatt, Paddy McCarthy and Patrick Kisnorbo were all back on the training pitch on Thursday morning ahead of Saturday's Championship clash against Reading at the Walkers Stadium.

The trio were all on the treatment table at the start of the week following the 1-0 victory over Millwall.

But manager Rob kelly was able to reveal some positive news on the injury front as the Foxes prepare to take on the runaway league leaders.

Kelly said: "Matty, Patrick and Paddy trained on Thursday, but we will now have to wait until Friday to see if they have suffered a reaction. If they are back then it gives me a nice problem.

"It's the stage of the season when you get wear and tear in the squad, but we are no different to anyone else in that respect. We won't bleat about it and we will just get on with it because it is part of what we do.

"When you play the amount of games that you play in this league you are going to get that. It's something that we are aware of and we deal with. But it is looking healthier."

Kelly also had some good news regarding Scottish international goalkeeper Rab Douglas.

He added: "Rab played 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday night. He was a bit stiff the following day, but so long as he has no adverse reaction then he will come back into the frame.

"Danny Tiatto is not very far away and Lee Morris is back in training on Friday which again will add to the competition of who will win the bet on when his first appearance this season will be.

Is this his usual trick of trying to get fit just before his contract expires?

Or is he on a longer term deal...?

Either way, one of the Paddy's will put him out of misery! :P

I think its brilliant that the 'big 3' are all back in training! :P

Now lets take down the Reading!!!

same we would struggle without them three they have been key to our turn in form

3-1 city imo.

Fryatt pounces from a low maybury cross. Hume scores a half volley from 12 yards and in the 2nd half McCarthy powers a header down from a corner to beat both goalie and defenders on the posts.

Doyle scores a low shot for them when we are 2-0 up

I've got this down at 2-2, but i'll settle for your forcast.

Don't fancy them gaining promotion by beating us.

C'MON YOU FOXES :D

I'm not predicting as I think it could go either way. There's no reason why we can't get a win or at worst a draw but then Reading won't fear us as they've destroyed almost everything that's crossed them this season.

If all our boys are on form though and we get an early goal then it could be a very entertaining match.

Hi, Reading fan here.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game. Should be a cracker. As strange as perhaps this sounds, this is the first game in a while that will really mean anything. We've been so far ahead for a long time that there's an expection to win them all, but a knowledge that it doesn't overly matter if we slip up every so often - we've been spoilt as fans as fortunately that hasnt happened at all really!

I think tomorrow, now finally promotion is within reach, we'll really turn it on. Combine that attitude with the good run of form that your lads are in, and it has all the ingredients of a cracker. Good crowd expected too.

From reading threads on this site and on the OS, its good to see that your lot are well up for it, as of course we are.

Really really looking forward to it!

May the best team win!

I respectfully disagree!

There's so much build-up down here in the south. The game is all over the local news - the weather girl on local television was decked out in full Reading kit!

It's simply not conceivable that Reading wont gain promotion tomorrow! Could happen even with a draw - if that was the case, i'd hope your home fans would merrily join in our celebrations!

I hope you don't win, but if you do, I'll stay and applause, your team has done well

I hope that if you do gain promotion tomorrow, your fans won't try to get on our pitch as I have read on another forum that some of them fancy their chances of invading the pitch. Only one of our fans went on the pitch when we confirmed our promotion to the Premiership at Filbert Way, I hope your fans will respect our ground and just enjoy celebrations from the stands.

as much as i love city i really wdnt mind seeing a reading win! steve coppell deserves alot of credit 4 all the work hes done and we're not exactly playin for much anymore. sayin that though if we can put in a battling performance and really take the game 2 reading in spells and get a decent result then its goin 2 bode well for next seasons title charge(hopefully lol)
