Bilko Posted 14 April 2006 Share Posted 14 April 2006 quite. Makes me sick looking at those teams. While you have to congratulate Mickey for keeping them up with no money, you do question the long term future for Cov compared to us? At least we have good (and improving) young players in our squad and first team whereas their lot are coming to the end of their careers. If you look at the financial mess and investigations at the sheep pen, the OAP army at the Cov and the trees (hopefully) having another season in Div 3 who would you rather be supporting at the moment?! Jordan Posted 15 April 2006 Share Posted 15 April 2006 Adams did a great job keeping many high wages while the club was in administration--he must have done one hell of a job convincing the club and its creditors that those were necessary expenses in order to win promotion and get more revenue. Unfortunately, post-relegation 2004, the club can't really gamble on high wages and they've really cut down on the wage bill--by at least 33%. We won't see a squad with nearly as many thirtysomethings at Leicester for a long time.
