Sly Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 Lots of rumours seem to be popping up about Martin O Neill going to Derby County. Surely he wouldn't do that to us?!?!
Polyphonic Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 Well I guess you go where the work is ... I'd still cry
Head Honcho Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 To any manager MON included Derby County is just another job............. .....................albeit for a shitty club in a shitty town with a shitty bunch of supporters
Jon the Hat Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 To any manager MON included Derby County is just another job............. .....................albeit for a shitty club in a shitty town with a shitty bunch of supporters Exactly. He'd be mad to take it. He has a great record, a valid reason for being away from the game, and should wait for the right moment to come back to a Prem club. Boro would bite his arm off, so why would he consider Derby.
Ultra Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 Probably wishful thinking by a few sheep. Why should he want to taint his reputation with us?
NFFC Chris Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 Don't worry, the sheep fans have no IQ what so ever,O'Neil is an intelligant man,and would have to pick up a brain tumour to consider managing that hell hole of a club.

Whats even worse is that he has been rumoured to the forst job along with mr irish psycho nobhead (Roy Keane if you hadn't worked it out). Fortunately the two problems are that one o'neill isn't an idiot and two the rumour was on football-rumours.com
Gamesmaster Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 Lots of rumours seem to be popping up about Martin O Neill going to Derby County. Surely he wouldn't do that to us?!?! he did it to his beloved forest, so why not. made me laugh the other day, some journo on the radio saying hes going sunderland cos thats who he supported as a boy, i thought it was celtic, well it was when he joined
davieG Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 he did it to his beloved forest, so why not. made me laugh the other day, some journo on the radio saying hes going sunderland cos thats who he supported as a boy, i thought it was celtic, well it was when he joined When he was at Leicester he was always quoting how he supported Sunderland as a lad, the attraction of Celtic was his Irish roots and his Dad, who is reputed to have said if Celtic offer you the job walk there.
Louise Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 I feel that whichever club Martin goes to next we'll be disappointed unless it's Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool (or an international position). Any club other than those and it'll be a sense of 'why did you leave us to end up with them'. Unfortunately the jobs mentioned don't look like they're going to be available any time soon and Martin will eventually take another job somewhere, so we're likely to be upset at some point.
Daggers Posted 24 May 2006 Posted 24 May 2006 Lots of rumours seem to be popping up about Martin O Neill going to Derby County. Surely he wouldn't do that to us?!?! Bwahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa You took them seriously? He could have his pick of places to go...but he is going to Derby? DERBY? Bwahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 Lots of rumours seem to be popping up about Martin O Neill going to Derby County. Surely he wouldn't do that to us?!?! You never know! Being Brian Clough's protegé he may want to go back and polish em up
Leicester Lass Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 Derby approached Preston today about Billy Davies which suggests to me that they are no nearer to finding a manager.
Leicester Lass Posted 25 May 2006 Posted 25 May 2006 If davis wouldnt come to us theyve got no chance Forgot to mention they weren't allowed to talk to him!
Hitesh Posted 26 May 2006 Posted 26 May 2006 He wont go to Derby! There are too many other good clubs looking for managers!
