davieG Posted 22 May 2006 Posted 22 May 2006 Calendar Entry From Sky England boss Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed Theo Walcott will play some part of the B international with Belarus on Thursday. The Arsenal youngster, who was a shock inclusion in Eriksson's squad, will get his chance to impress the Swedish tactician in the game at Reading. Eriksson also revealed that Michael Owen, Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell will start the game as they look to gain match fitness. All three players have struggled with fitness this season and Eriksson is keen to see the trio get some much-needed practice under their belts. "You will see him [Walcott] on Thursday," said Eriksson on Sky Sports News. "Maybe not from the beginning during the game, I'm quite sure about that. "I learned a lot as I saw him in four good sessions there [in Portugal]. He was quiet in the beginning but, after a while, you can see he's a really, really great talent. "He's very quick, has a good touch and scored a coupel of goals in the last session. "It's very good for all of the players but especially Owen, for example. He's not played much football this season. Cole and Campbell are the same, probably. All three will start on Thursday. "The stand-by players will be involved in one way or another. Those who won't take part in the match on Thursday are Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, John Terry, David Beckham and Paul Robinson. Those who played week in, week out all season. "Owen starts the game and we'll see during the game but it should be good for him if he could play 90 minutes. We'll see as I'm not sure about that yet. "I would be very relieved if I don't have any more injuries the day we get on the plane to Germany. That would be great, it'd be great to have Wayne Rooney on the plane with us too but I can't guarantee that. "Young players are going to start like Jermaine Jenas and Owen Hargreaves and it's very important for players like that [on Thursday]." Tottenham's Michael Dawson will also get an outing after being drafted in to the stand-by list as a replacement for Charlton's Luke Young. "I saw Dawson many times playing this season and I think he's getting better and better," said Eriksson. "It's a good opportunity for him to be together with the rest of the England squad. "For two weeks, maybe more, who knows?"

I hardly think rupturing your groin is worth the face saving, apparently he did the groin making the previous save which he messed up.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 May 2006 Posted 26 May 2006 That Aaron Lennon looks abit good :clap2: He does until he gets into a crossing postion, this is when he falls over or plays for a corner, instead of delivering a killer ball, still prefere Beckham.

I don't believe he did rupture his groin, he faked injury, Sven decided to drop him as he proved he is shit and this is a cover story. CONSPIRACY THEORIES ROCK
