I've been busy working, so I apologise for they delay!! Quarter Finals for me, i'm just not so optimistic, Englands past performances in the world cup have something to do with that plus we will either play Argentina or Portugal, both have beaten us in past World Cups!!

Worked for me!

I doubt this team is capable of getting out of the group stages. The sad reality is that we will be battling against T&T to avoid the wooden spoon in our group.

This team is riddled with problems. Even our best players - Fat Frank and Stevie G - who are both ridiculously overhyped are too similar to play well together. All of the central defenders have weaknesses that other teams can exploit (Terry: Too slow, Ferdinand: Too dozy, Campbell: No longer reliable). If Paul robinson gets injured the consequences don't bear thinking about. The forward line (especially sans Rooney) is embarrasing. Crouch is simply not good enough, Owen hasn't played enough and Foetus Walcott hasn't even played football before! Of the substitutes which we will rely on to change the game (trust me, England are going to find themselves a goal behind and chasing the game a lot!) I'm not convinced by Lennon and I'm absolutely positive that Downing will be useless.

We're screwed.

The only bright spot I can see is that apparently David Beckham has been Real Madrid's best player last season. He'll need to work miracles if he is to carry this team past the group stages though.

A ridicolous post that you will be reminded of after we beat Paraguay and T&T to qualify for the knock out stages with a game to spare.

Battling T&T for the wooden spoon, please.

Never in my life have I read such shit. Sorry, but I cannot believe what you have put. I don't think we'll win the World Cup but how you describe our team is utter garbage.

Gerrard and Lampard over-rated??? Our defence awful??

Our options off the bench aren't that experienced but it's not as bad as you make out, strikers wise it is but Owen will be fine.

I would hate to see what you'd describe a team who are crap, good grief.

We have 3 or 4 players who are in the top 20 best players in the world, plus some others that have performed brilliantly this season (J Cole, M Carrick, J Carragher and P Robinson) add that with the 4 of the best (Terry, Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney) and there's a decent team with a chance, like about 4 or 5 nations.

If this was written as a piss take then you've succeeded if it wasn't then i'd class you as a non-entity when it comes to footballing opinions.

Its the Miracle bit at the end that really does it for me :D Some of the shite that is posted on this forum should be illegal.

Do you even know who plays for Paraguay and T8T Lemon? I also take it reading your post that you didn't watch Swedens performance against Finland. Now that my friend is a team riddled with problems.

The good news is that Roque Santa Cruz is unlikely to be fully fit for the England match. If he were playing at his best he could single-handedly rip our defence to shreds. Even without him, Paraguay should have enough to see us off. They beat Argentina in qualifying and drew with Brazil. They should make light work of England.

T&T are not the most talented side, but their coach likes them to keep hold of the ball. England have been pathetic against teams who can keep the ball, especially under Sven Goran Eriksson. The question is whether T&T will be able to turn their superior possesion into goals. If, and it's a bif if, our defenders can stay awake for 90 minutes we may just be able to scrape a draw.

We never win against Sweden. Ever. And that's not going to change in Germany.

They are overhyped, especially Fat Frank. The main problem is that they are too similar. If SGE wants them both to play together he should have given them more chances to form an understanding in midfield about their roles. But he chops and changes too much and the result will be a shambolic and unco-ordinated midfield in Germany.

During his heyday, Goldenballs was ludicrously overhyped. But he's had a good season with Real Madrid and the hype in the England team is now all around other players. He remains our most creative player but I feel he is still too limited to take us through single-handedly.

there is always a chance we could fail, that's football.

but if we do well, or even with the cup, you don't deserve to join in the celebrations.

T&T are crap. Player-for-player they are even worse than England!

It's just that, tactically, they will get the better of us.

It's true.

Our players and our coach are too limited to get out of our group.

Only a miracle can save us now!

Oh dear.... Im drying the tears of laughter, fantastic. Roque Santa Cruz the destroyer!! brilliant! A Bayern Munich squad player is going to rip our defense to shreds I have herd it all now. Ecudaor beat Brazil and Argentina as well, I think even Boliva/Venezuela managed a few points against those two , the Braizilans conceaded 17 goals in 18 games in a qualfying group which is of a poor standerd, Agrentina won it and Brazil are faviourates to win the world cup! it means NOTHING! Nelson Valdez and Julio Dos Santos really don't scare me, your logic is totally warped and you seriously under estimate the England team. We Beat Agrentina in case u forgot. <_<

Your comments about Trindad are ridicolous, and quite blatenet guess work. How you think a team made up of League one and two players, with the mighty Stern John up front, and the old Dwight York of Sydnyey FC now playing in midfield, can "keep the ball" well enough to frustrate a team... which even if it is as poor as you make out, is a team full of premeir league players, is totally beyond me.

amazing, absloutley amazing. The Northern Ireland game was a disgrace I will give you that, but there is no need for you think were going to repeat that performance in Germany... Twice, which is how we would have to play to get embrassed by Paraguay and not get anything against Trinidad and Tobago.

Fock off you pessimistic twat, i'm not saying it won't happen just that we shouldn't even be thinking like that.

I remeber that game well. We couldn't really get a touch of the ball until Argentina took off all their best players and we got two late goals against a confused and under-strength team.

That game scared the shit out of me. England simply aren't equipped to handle any team that can keep possesion of the ball reasonably well. Beckham and Gerrard have a penchant for 60-yard passes and always end up giving away possesion as soon as they get it. Lampard will either try a long-range shot or pass to Becks or Stevie G who will try another long-range pass which loses us possesion. Things will be even worse without Rooney who is a vital link between the midfield (Who lie too deep. This is because their fundamental inability to close down play leads to the entire team getting dragged back) and the front line.

How can you take any encouragement from that match?

This England team has serious flaws. It does nobody any good to try to ignore that fact. If England is to ever catch up with the real world powers of international football, then we have got to confront our limitations head on and make a real effort to deal with them.

I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being patriotic!
