shen Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 National hymns being played as we speak! I expect the Czechs to shine, but the Americans will probably prove a tough team to crack...
Mark Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 Kasey Keller starting in goal then ahead of Tim Howard.. Czech always seem to do well but I notice they have gone with the giant Jan Koller up front on his own. So I'd prefer a USA win here.

shen Posted 12 June 2006 Author Posted 12 June 2006 Rosicky... Great goal! USA must be down and out now...
City_4_Life Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 Wahey he's in my dream team. Sh!t hes injured now, i had to jinx it didnt i.
nhfox Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 USA are looking like crap right now. Czechs are controlling the midfield. I'm not sure McBride has a single touch yet. Come on you Yanks!

Chairman of the Bored Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 Dubya to send in the Marines in the second half?
nhfox Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 Didn't McBride have a good headed attempt? The only real good attempt I can recall is Reyna's shot off the post. Nevertheless, Convey and Beasley have to do a better job at supplying crosses to McBride.
Tommeh Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 Rosicky... Great goal! USA must be down and out now... Was a great goal reminded me of Frings's v Costa Rica in 1st game. Arsenal have brought a class player if thats ote to go by.
The People's Hero Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 Rosicky is a fantastic attacking player. If we can cope with the physical nature of the premiership game, he'll be a fantastic signing.
shen Posted 12 June 2006 Author Posted 12 June 2006 Rosicky is a fantastic attacking player. If we can cope with the physical nature of the premiership game, he'll be a fantastic signing. He might turn out to be another Hleb though. While he's no bad player, he still hasn't fully adapted to Arsenals game and thus justified the huge price tag yet. 3-0 Rosicky with another good goal!
Ricey Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 What a player Rosicky is!! Nearly scored another scorcher, now he's burst through the US defence and put the Czechs 3-0 up. Can't wait to see him next season
Jamesino_LCFC Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 what a crap chant RRROOOOOOOOOOOSISCKY (clap clap clap clap) great player though I guess he deserves a chant!
The People's Hero Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 what a crap chant RRROOOOOOOOOOOSISCKY (clap clap clap clap) great player though I guess he deserves a chant! Yeah - Leicester fans are really in a position to criticise
shen Posted 12 June 2006 Author Posted 12 June 2006 What a disaster. I can't watch this anymore. There's absolutely no shame in losing to the Czechs, especially the way they've played today. If you can up your game and start with Eddie Johnson, you might have a chance against the Italians...

Too right, the Czechs can beat anyone on their day so I don't think it's all over for the US but it's going to be difficult.
The People's Hero Posted 12 June 2006 Posted 12 June 2006 I think it's all over for the U.S.A They were always going to struggle and just don't seem to have enough of a goal threat to really worry the top teams.

I was shocked on how poorly the wingers played. I counted one decent cross from Convey and Beasley was non-existant. How the hell is Convey going to deal with the Premiership if he performs like that?

To be fair, the whole midfield was pretty anonymous. Even Reyna was often left chasing shadows. And DaBeasley seemed too busy backtracking to help Cherundolo contain Nedved. Donovan was very disappointing...
