aussie-fox Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 im going to buy a new one but need some help, what do you all recomend i want a cheap one, thats has around 20gb and can arrange songs on artist and album order any tips most welcome (edited for spelling)
Daggers Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 I would probably just buy an ipod I wouldn't - I don't think anyone listens to any of their songs once you have over 2 gig stored. Plus, 20gig ones are big and heavy. I'd just get a handy 2 gig one and go through the fun of renewing the music on it once a month

Libertine Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 I've got a 6gb Creative Zen Micro. It's easily good enough, for me anyway. Costs about £140 I think.
hairy Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 Spend a littel more and you could have an Archos:- http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1415 It is an mp3 player and movie player. It can record direct from your TV and record your vinyl into a digital format to convert to mp3s. I love mine. The battery is very good on them too.

Libertine Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 im after a big one cause i like to keep my whole cd collection on it, i can then pack away the cds and they wont get scratched Exactly. Nothing wrong with having a 20gb player. I might have to get a bigger one in the future.
Daggers Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 Exactly. Nothing wrong with having a 20gb player. I might have to get a bigger one in the future. I've already done that with an external 160gb drive, and then rotate my music on my little 2gb player, or onto the 2gb on my w800i. ARCHOS WORD OF WARNING: I bought an old AV120 when they came out. Battery life after one week was down to less than 15 minutes. I spent over a year and a half arguiing with them - their customer service sucks bigger than a large big sucky thing.
aussie-fox Posted 23 June 2006 Author Posted 23 June 2006 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...ial%2BOffer.htm found this, what u reckon pretty cheap, i dont really use is as a walkman a lot so this could do me like i said i just put all my cds on it then plug into my stereo or speakers at work most of the time

I wanted something indentical to you. Went to PC World, saw these fancy colour photo ones for about £150 for 2gb. Saw a Creative Zen Touch 20gb which was the last one they had and was a display model, £99 - what a bargain!

Master Fox Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 I got a 100gig version. It cost £350 off this Scouser I know Oh right, back off the van price?
hairy Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 Oh right, back off the van price? I think it was an American 'import' rather than back of the van. I had to buy a different scart interface because of PAL and NTSC.
Mark Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 Go for the Creative Zen Vision M, 30GB, £190. Although I bought it for £230 a few months ago but the price seems to have dropped down to £190 now, typical. It's great, and well worth it.
