Ballack is a legend what ever people say, Italy dont deserve it, France winning would be fitting for Zidane but still i dont think they deserve (out of all the teams there) to end up top and Portugal deserve to see Ronaldo get his legs broken... so Germany it is, their the hoasts as well which counts for somthing IMHO.

davieG Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 It's got to be Germany they may not have the most talented players but they do have the best and they've been the most honest, not perfect but then neither were we. They've not insulted the public and have gone out to win every game from the off givng value for money. I've never been one to hold any hostility towards them, although how they got awarded this World Cup is another tale. It's unfortunate in a way that they are the hosts because if they win it kinda takes the edge off the accomplishment.

That leaves France, who despite improvement in their last two games are still well below the quality they showed eight years ago, and the hosts, who haven't beaten a top-10 side in open play since their win at Wembley all those years ago. None of the sides are exactly glowing adverts for the beautiful game.

NFFC Chris Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 Le Francais for me.They deserve it because they've had the toughest games from the second round onwards.Portugal haven't had it easy themselves but don't want them to win it for obvious reasons.I find Italy boring and unattractive,and though I don't mind Germany I feel France would be worthy winners.
