Beckham got himself sent off vs Argentina. Rooney did against Portugal. No one else got him sent off. He stamped on someone's bollocks in front of the ref and then raised his hands too! To top that off, I bet he swore at the ref as well. It's possible that he committed three red card offences in under 20 seconds. Ronaldo acted in a manner that many many players do, English/Foreign, Young/Old, LCFC/NON-LCFC. He gained a competitive advantage for himself. To answer your question, my reaction was 'Rooney what the fock have you done you twat'. He puts himself on high and that's it. When subbed in a previous game you saw the petulance, he threw his boots down. You can't do it at this level. If it wasn't against Portugal, it would have happened against someone else. He's a ticking bomb and you KNOW he's going to go at some point. If a Portuguese player had stamped on one of our lot's balls, Rooney would have been in there like a shot. So would Gerrard and Lampard et al. They do it week in week out for clubs and there was even evidence of ref crowding from us at the World Cup. I'm an England fan and Leicester fan. That is not to say that either clubs or those who are connected with them are beyond reproach or criticism.
