To all the Ronaldo Haters

Only a biased Argy could possibly have judged the remotest intent in that challenge.

What, sorry? Are you actually 12? Or do you always just quote the Mirror to make your argument?

:thumbup::thumbup::D

Brilliant!

Glad someone else said it... fully agree with you!

ps Don't rib them too heavily because they actually DO take all of their posts directly from the red tops.. I think they're a bit sensitive about it.

For me, it won't have quite the same effect when Frank Lampard fizzes a drive into the top corner of Man City's net from 25 yards next season.

Last season I thought, wow what a squad we will have for Germany. Next season I just be thinking to myself "what a ****er, why didn't he do that with one of his 24 shots on goal during the summer?"

How much fallout do you think there will be next season? Sadly I think most England fans will hide behind the Ronaldo-as-scapegoat joke.

I am beginning to agree with a number of other people in the World Cup forum about this - while England keep finding scapegoats for their failure every four years instead of saying "right, that didn't work so we won't try it next time" i.e. taking Walcott, 4-5-1, Rooney as lone striker, off-form players keeping their place etc.

I just find it disgusting that these players, who supposedly build up to a tournament for two years, put in a performance like that, go back to their clubs, earning £100,000 a week after f**king up the best opportunity (in terms of the quality of players at our disposal) that we have had to win a tournament since 1966 - and the proud English nation blames a guy who complained that his team-mate got kicked in the bollocks by a thug.

OK your question was not asked of me but regardless, my answer:

My reaction when rooney was sent off was - You thick, thug bastard

Yeah he's a scouser isn't he, and a Man U player too? So it stands to reason he MUST be guilty.....

Nothing to do with the Mirror or any of the other tabloids. If the paper HAS said that it shows it might have called it right for once.

I don't know what version of the laws you use in Wales but according to the version we English are familiar with, Rooney did nothing that could even be termed a foul, let alone a red card offence.

Now here's a surprise

www.thesun.co.uk

Thanks for putting us in touch with the McDonalds view of the matter. That makes sure I'll never set foot in their foul stores again...

I don't hate him but I do dislike him. Quite a lot actually.

I really disliked his pathetic diving in tonights game and am delighted that France won.

He cried again ~ why do football players now cry so much? Is it an indication of their petulant, prepubescant mentality that has failed to develop in their cosseted world?

If it makes you Sun readers happy to believe that Ronaldo was the reason we haven't won the World Cup this year, then sobeit.

Just don't waste time trying to convince those of us who can THINK FOR OURSELVES that your bul lshi t is true.

The Sun must have sold well in Germany then given the French and german fans reaction everytime Ronaldo got the ball.Maybe they cant think for themselves either TPH.

The issue is not whether Ronaldo is a petulant, cheating so and so or not.. He clearly is. As are many many players of different nationalities, English included.

How Ultra can say that Rooney committed no foul is beyond me... it's staggering in fact. He stamped on another player's bollocks and then raised his arms to an opponent.

The issue being discussed was that it was put forward that it is stupid to try to blame our pathetic performances all through the world cup and then our exit on one player, Christiano Ronaldo.

We weren't good enough.

Yes, Ronaldo is a nasty piece of work. But so is Rooney.

We all have them.

Tiatto is hardly a saint, but Ultra loves him...

Agreed.

My argument is the same as that put forward by Rooney himself - which the FA will officially back at the disciplinary hearing tomorrow. If it had a Premiership game chances are the red card would have been rescinded. If you prefer the opinion of a bunch of play-acting Portuguese mercenaries and and a referee with his own anti-English agenda, that's up to you..

No more "stupid" than blaming the FOXES' pathetic performances all through last season on one player - Danny Tiatto - as many folk, including powers that be, have attempted to do on these boards.

We weren't good enough.

Agreed again.. :o:o:o

Yes, Ronaldo is a nasty piece of work. But so is Rooney.

Now you are starting to lose it. Rooney plays "on the edge", as many great players (Zidane, Maradona, even St Pele) have done before him. On certain occasions we will overstep the mark, but Saturday wasn't one of them.

Tiatto is hardly a saint, but Ultra loves him...

I don't think it serves the purpose of our club or this board to line up ANY player in front of a lynch mob before the season has even started.

I only mentioned Tiatto to highlight your completely contradictory opinion just because he is a LCFC player.

And Rooney is dirty. He stamped on the fella's balls for ****s sake.

That's just not cricket.

Thank God he and his teammates have gone out of the competition. After the promising early stages, Portugal have tried their hardest to drag the tournament down to their level.

Scolari has blotted his copybook as well. After winning several hundred World Cup ties on the bounce, he loses and can't take it gracefully for once.

I don't know why FIFA can't take a retrospective look at certain teams' simulation antics after the tournament finishes. Its an almost impossible job for refs to keep a handle this stuff. You either get a situation like the Portugal/Holland game, which degenerated into farce, or like tonights game, where the referee is too scared to sanction the simulators.

FIFA should assess each teams' performance and, where necessary, dock points at the start of the next qualification.

They wouldn't do that of course. They are more intent on making Wayne Rooney apologise for his actions. APOLOGISE? What in the name of Judas Priest is that about? There have been 20+ red cards to date. I don't see anyone else being invited into Padre Blatter's confessional booth.

The other thing that the ****ing Idiot's Football Association have done today is come up with some half-assed plan to nudge the banning threshold upto 3 yellows for the next World Cup. Here's an idea Sepp, you stupid, corrupt turd - don't have referees throwing yellow cards around like confetti in the first place.

Lay the law down on the divers, the cry babies, the invisible card wavers, the injury fakers and the time wasters NOW - and stop making scapegoats out of Scousers and referees.

I hadn't noticed anyone doing that, most people just don't think he deserved a new contract as he's just not good or reliable enough. you shouldn't exagerate to make your point as it discredits your argument.

Well folk can look at your signature and make up their own mind as to whether I'm exaggerating or not.

Don't cry for me, Portogallo!

I know Ronaldo is not the reason we got knocked out, far from it, but it makes me sick to see people get sent off for soft offences and then see Ronaldo get away with cheating time after time.

I hope he plays a pre season friendly against Celtic and good ol Bobo Balde is playing!

CRUNCH!

I'm sick of this now but one final time...

How is stamping on somone's bollocks and then raising your sands to another player a soft sending off?

If it happened against LCFC you'd be up in arms.

Where in my signature does it say that I make Tiatto soley responsible for LCFC's perfomances last season?

I think you're right people will make their own minds up and because of that I'm quite happy to retain my signature.

Just watched the incident a good few times ( again ) on you tube and it's a good descion, Rooney moves he's striking foot away from the ball so he can steady himself to get a good stomp on Carlavhlo, making it obvious hes not going after the ball. he gains his balance about 4 seconds before doing it as well so it cant have been accidental. He was frustrated he didnt get a free kick so he lashed out.

Ronaldo is a little T**T and I hate and I hate him even more after that game, he is by and large one of the biggest cheats in modern football. He was just as bad last night as well, but then i've known this for years without mentioning his name every f**king day. Man U fans are currently getting on my tits attempting to keep their image up with comments like " Now Fergie has seen what he's like he will be gone, no cheats at our club nope nope nope, "
