Mark Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 With Macclesfield towards the bottom of League 2 we shouldn't have too much to worry about, but this is Leicester <_<. I want to see Stearman start as he's seems all out of sorts at the moment and a decent performance will help that, and Fryatt needs a goal. We should also give a chance to some of our talented youngsters. After failing to score in 3 out of 4 games, we must score a few goals on Tuesday. This is the team I'd like to see. Logan Stearman McCarthy Kisnorbo Sheehan Gradel Williams Wesolowski Porter Fryatt O'Grady Subs: Henderson, Tiatto, Hughes, Hume, Dodds
wooo Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 that would be great id play 3,5,2 with dodds in mid and drop stearman
Thracian Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Not quite the team I hoped for but near enough. Williams certainly suits as well as Hughes and I'd have played Dodds with O'Grady because the latter hasn't featured at all in the first team and he's used to having O'Grady as a strike partner. Maybe start Fryatt so he can continue his good form and maybe find a goal or 2, then bring on Dodds a little later in the game, when we're settled and have the game under control

I suspect Sylla will play as well.

Thracian Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 If almost any of the fans teams get selected I'll look forward to the game more than many a game featuring our first choice selection. It would just be interesting to see if they could serve up a football treat and really get our fans warming to the prospects for our future. Just imagine something like: Logan, Stearman/Kenton, McAuley/McCarthy, Kisnorbo, Sheehan; Gradel, Wesolowski. Hughes/Williams, Porter; Dodds, O'Grady. Subs: Nils, Hughes/Williams, Low, Hume, Fryatt. There wouldn't be much hoofing from that lot.
Vo Rogue Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Hoofing. Don't take that out of our team. I'm just starting to enjoy the challenge when they hoof it to Hume and he's marked by a 6'4 back how close he can get to the ball.

Hume hasnt played much recently, so needs to play. weso needs to start a game, no better one than this. replace him with williams 2nd half. If macauley dont play, doesnt look like he'll ever play. Nationwider Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Old fashioned, I know - but I think RK should play his best XI available, rather than tinkering with peripheral players and formations. A win is a win. Especially at the moment.
Maybes Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 He should play 11 men he thinks will do good jobs. I think he should give dodds and O'grady a game and drop/rest fryatt.
lookwhaticando Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 I'm gonna go for an experimental line up. Just shaking things up, see where it gets us. Logan Kisnorbo ©, Smedley Gradel, Weso, Porter Dodds, O'Grady, Hume, Hammond, Fryatt 4-4-2 didn't produce many goals, so let's flip this thing around... literally. 2-3-5 is the way forward Anyone with me on this? About time Gradel got a chance... and this is Smedley's year... tho I still haven't managed to confirm him as my sweepstake player of the year... damnit! (I blame Collymore, he's not buckled to my insistence yet) haha
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 August 2006 Share Posted 20 August 2006 I agree McAuley should get a game and it'd be nice to see one of O'Grady or Dodds get a start up front.

Mad Dog Posted 20 August 2006 Share Posted 20 August 2006 I think we should keep the same lineup where we can to be honest. Better to have a more settled team and to try and build a winning mentality in that team. Perhaps try Sheehan at left back, give McCauley a start, and give Fryatt a rest.
