what part of the word "trash" don't you understand, i don't like answering for any one else but this seems to be the obvious answer :thumbup:

If someone calls you trailer trash, I can understand, but if someone uses it in general speech I can't see how you can find it offensive, maybe it's me :unsure:

There are a lot more important things to get het up about then people using the term trailer trash ffs :rolleyes:

i think we are going round in circles , if you can't see it as offensive thats fine, my mother in law can't see the term wog as offensive because she insists it 's just an acronym ( western oriental gentleman )but hey-ho who am i to say what is or is not offensive, ;)

Now you've got me started :P

There is only one derogatory meaning for the word "wog" which I agree is offensive, yet there several more non-derogatory meanings too, many of which pre-date the derogatory meaning!

as do most words that become derogatory , however if the person or group of persons to which the term is aimed find it offensive then i think the rest of us should respect their wishes and not try to convince them that it isn't

i grew up calling people of different ethnic origins all sorts of names that i would no longer consider approriate because of the hurt caused to them and quite rightly i no longer use them , and if white people who live in trailers find the term " white trash " as offensive then i think we should respect their wishes not to be labeled thus. ;)

  1. I did not call everyone that lived in a trailer 'white trash', just the author of the ridiculous article.
  2. white trash is not a universally accepted term of abuse in the South, at least not with the people I know.
  3. If Crazy Horse considers himself personally offended by the term then he should say so rather than wrongly labelling people bigots, and attempt to defend the underprivileged of America.

I would just like to remind CH that the rules of the forum forbid the use of personal insults in posts. I have not deleted them as they are aimed at me, I have broad shoulders. Please do not insult other members of FoxesTalk CH.

Hmmm maybe too much info when referring to yourself as "The big man." I'm not really interested in anything you may be willing to talk about regarding your genetalia :) Make a habit of killing threads then do you?

lol not on about your gonads, was on about TPH, not that I want to talk about his gonads either! If you're impressed by your gonads, then fantastic, I'm happy for you :) I'm sure many ladies will be happy for you as well. I on the other hand do not care one iota, as I am straight and don't spend time inquiring or looking at male genetalia. Fact.
