Ric Flair Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Click on the link. It shows the goals from the recent tournament the Under17's was in. In the last match where England beat Portugal 4-0, Chambers scores twice. The first and last goals in the game. His 2nd is an absolute belter. http://www.thefa.com/fatv/microsite.aspx?h...delivery=stream

Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Who's the black lad who scores a couple of goals in that and does somersaults each time? He looks handy.
The People's Hero Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Yeah he looks kwality! (Check out my cool, deliberate mis-spelling. I'm street, man.)

Makes you wonder whether his lack of appearances for the first team, reserves and even read something about him not starting our under-18 games recently are down to the club trying to protect him? I suppose when he's scoring regularly for England at youth level that's irrelevent but it's kind of surprising he hasn't been on the bench for a league game yet given that we can hardly be picky about our strikers.

He's still only 16 and a half, if he is really good then i'd still be tempted to keep him under wraps until he signs a professional contract in March. Then i'd start to let him off his leash. This time last year at 15, he was our main striker for the reserves and scoring frequently for both club and country. He got injured, then Levein and the reserve team coach got the push and he has been taken from the limelight. I was speaking to someone who has something to do with the academy a while ago and he is rated very highly.

Fair enough, that makes perfect sense and will be interesting regarding the professional contract. Something to look forward to maybe at least.
