Chambers goals for England Under 17's

Click on the link. It shows the goals from the recent tournament the Under17's was in. In the last match where England beat Portugal 4-0, Chambers scores twice. The first and last goals in the game. His 2nd is an absolute belter.

Victor Moses, he's at Palace's academy. He's 15 and there's alot of hype about him ala Rooney, Walcott, etc.

Surprised there's not been anything like that about Chambers. Makes you wonder whether his lack of appearances for the first team, reserves and even read something about him not starting our under-18 games recently are down to the club trying to protect him? I suppose when he's scoring regularly for England at youth level that's irrelevent but it's kind of surprising he hasn't been on the bench for a league game yet given that we can hardly be picky about our strikers.

This time last year at 15, he was our main striker for the reserves and scoring frequently for both club and country. He got injured, then Levein and the reserve team coach got the push and he has been taken from the limelight.

Fair enough, that makes perfect sense and will be interesting regarding the professional contract. Something to look forward to maybe at least.
