Cobbo Posted 21 February 2007 Posted 21 February 2007 That one released today...? Yeah that one doh. I checked for new updates on the game and it said I had the latest one the lying bastard.
Suffolk_fox Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 I would like more facepacks, logo and kit packs, but am lazy so therefore don't want to download tons of little files. Are there any 'big' packs for FM2007? Best site for these? Many thanks and ta muchly. PS - 6 points of play off spot in second season with Citeh. 8 games to go. mmmmmm

Yeah Cobbo, mine did that too, but if you go to one of the mirror sites and download an exe file, it will update it. I hope it don't make Josh Low more life-like as he is a fab winger for me at the moment!!

lildave3 Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 Started 3rd season superbly, 6 points and 6 goals. A 4-1 win at Sunderland, then an amazing 2-1 win over Chelsea. Andy King and Freddy Eastwood have 3 each so far. Anyone starting a Leicester game, i advise you to give King first team experience early on, he has developed so much and is now one of the best attacking midfielders in the league.

Brainy Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 I like to keep in touch on how im doing. Shame I change teams everyday. None of you can keep up
potter3 Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 Yeah Cobbo, mine did that too, but if you go to one of the mirror sites and download an exe file, it will update it. I hope it don't make Josh Low more life-like as he is a fab winger for me at the moment!! Doesn't effect the data in the game until you start a new games. Erm.. why is Kelvin Davis worth 8m? Mistake.
filbertway Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 Downloading the patch and will start a new game with Leicester, got bored with Yeading, couldn't get out of league 1.
coale39 Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 Heres the new patch Download Just gonna have ta get leicester promoted again!
imagine that Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 I've created the database, but i'm not entirely sure how to upload it. I tried going on filefront but when i click the db, it just opens up a folder. Anyone help? Try Zipping the folder then uploading it.
Filbert_Ross Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 just finished my 1st season with Az Alkmaar, just before playing my last game of season got offered a new contract, I was top of the league, they offered me 80k to spend for next season!!! went into last game top of the league, but could finish anywhere between 1st-5th it was tight, I drew 0-0 away at Willim II which sent them down and meant I finished 3rd.
Milky Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Does anyone else get really apprehensive, even scared about starting a new season? I've been putting off starting my second season for over a week now, because i'm scared that it may not be a success looking at the squad. How sad.
Geo V Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 I hadnt played it for ages but tried West Ham (no updates so still needing an owner ). I sold everyone in the squad with the exception of Ferdinand and Spector and bought all the players that seem to become world beaters on the previous games I have played. Outgoings totalled about £38m and amongst them was the classic error of selling Mascherano for about £7m, only to find out that I had to give 80% of the fee to his former club . Tevez was worth about £15m but I put him up for £30m to tempt the market. Man Utd then bid £13m and my greedy chairman accepted it the absoloute t**ser! Pompey bought 3 players included Harewood for £4m and the heart ruled the head when Leicester came in for two of my players and I let them have them and turned down the other interested clubs when they bought Zamora for £300k (worth about £3m ), Newton for nothing and Etherington for £400k. WBA had offered £1.7m for Ether ! Incoming players were Gareth Bale for £1.7m, Carlos Vela for £2.5m (mexican forward who in every game I have played becomes a world beater.. PLAY UP FRONT!!), Theo Walcott for £6m, Petri Pasanen for £2.8m, Freddy Adu for £1.1m (play left mid), Eddie Johnson (Amercan) for £1.6m, Leandro Lima (AM) for about £3m, Jan Polak a CM who is 17 for 200k, Boskallo a CB/RB who plays at RB and costs just £250k, Amaral a Brazilian RB who costs £2.5m and gets occasional run-outs, Dagoberto, another Brazilian who is a ST/AM that plays mostly upfront. A bargain at £1.4m minimum release fee when worth £3.5m. I then raided the African clubs and I cant remember the names of the 3 lads I bought in for next to nothing from teams like Kaizer Chiefs but they are quality. The big money was spent on Hearts GK Craig Gordon at £6m and his understudy Kasper Schmiechel at £300k who joins in Jan as on loan. I cant remember the others but we made £4m in fees through the deals. After the first season we finished 3rd with a squad at the average of of 20 and loads of them averaged over 7.8 per game. A squad of world beaters but the unfortunate news is that Leicester got relegated despite the deals. There new manager is none other than Sammy Lee!!! One tip though, its really important to have good coaches and physios. When managinga club who has a shite physio you could get a report back saying that a player is expected out for a month to two months. If you have two or three good physios the front "news" screen may suggest a player will be out for a month but if you go to the players page it will say usually half the initial expected time of absence. In addition to physios, I suggest as soon as you start a new game click on the England flag and that takes you to the national squad, then click on the staff option and start hiring. Ray Clememence is a world class GK coach and is unattached, Ray Wilkins is around the same standard and a first team coach and there are others there. If you wait a week the majority are signed up.
scodger cubs Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Hi all, can you use 7.0.2 without having downloaded 7.0.1 ??

imagine that Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 How can you get rid of the patches? Go to where you put them and delete them. But if you've started games using the patch you won't be able to play them if you delete the patch.
Brainy Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Well I deleted it and started a new game. But Kelvin Davis is still worth 8m, and Leicester always play Port Vale in the first round of the League Cup. It gives me a choice to start a new game with 7.0.0 or 7.0.1, and I pick 7.0.0 But it still has the same mistakes

imagine that Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Download my superleague database here Sorry about the wait, but i hit a few problems on the way Which nation is the superleague in? I presume you replaced England but i can't see anything that it's replaced by. All i see is Englands not there.
Brainy Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Can you get any more unluckier? Of course you can, Heikki. I'm Bolton, just finished my first game away to Villa. Aston Villa: Shots - 9 On Target - 2 Goals - 2 Bolton: Shots - 18 On Target - 8 Goals 1 Aston Villa 2-1 Bolton Villa scorers: Steven Davis 77 Amdy Faye own goal 90 +2 Bolton scorers: Abdoulaye Meite (Pen) 13 Gareth Barry should be been sent off for Villa in the 20th min, and Diouf missed a penalty for Bolton just before half time. The last goal, clearly being an Angel tap-in, being credited to Meite, even though I was told Kevin Nolan was furious as he thought the goal was offside.
