How the hell would Chelsea deal with this?

supernanny-naughty.gif

instead of mentioning it once they'd repeatedly show how pathetic they are by talking about it for 6months.

newell went pretty mental at the weekend, slating the bird and then his own chairman.....book him a week in centreparks to chill and relax and go back to managing luton once the sand has been removed from his vagina

That's a completely ridiculous statement from Newell, one that should leave him out of a job. Had comments been made about race this would have occurred so why not now? I see no reason as to why a woman can not be an assistant referee, when there is no reason as to why the standard would be any different. If a woman can do the job as well as a man, and I'm sure she can, then let her. Everyone has off days and looks like Newell has sour grapes to me.

Newell was stupid.

Women are not necessarily worse. Just this one woman is pretty much representing aspiring women refs/linos... and she's rubbish.

Why would they want to officiate in men's matches, they would just get slated.

It makes you wonder if womens football is really worth it, if they're jsut going to come to the men's game anyway

Why should that leave him out of a job?. The game needs more colourful characters like Newell not fewer.

You're no better than the rest of the PC brigade who would make it illegal to say anything, do anything, or represent anything other than what they think is right.

Some countries operate like that. You should try em.

And if you perceive Newell's remarks as an attack on women, so what? What the hell do women need him sacking for? People will have a laugh and take the piss out of him, that's all. Women are quite capable of expressing their own points of view without the need to make a big issue of Mike Newell.

If some woman came out and said men shouldn't have the right to be nurses who the hell cares. It's an opinion and would probably get the ridicule it deserves.

I wonder where your sort would stop when it comes to banning things, sacking people, censuring folk just for having a point of view that was contrary to yours or to the supposedly enlightened thinking of the day.

i never said it was my view that he should be out of a job, i hate PC myself, it's all rubbish, making employers have so many women in a job creates discrimination, not solves it. however, i am saying that an attack on any other minority would have caused a much bigger uproar in my opinion. the world, however, would be boring if we all shared the same opinions.

You are certainly right in your last sentence, and in some places that is, at least publicly, how it works.

But the fact you make your other comments shows how much the system - as invariably controlled first or second hand by the PC brigade - has already got at you. You think you can only express an opinion on certain subjects and not if it's aimed at a "minority".

I am not blaming you. I am illustrating how much work is done and how much success in gained, particularly in schools but elsewhere as well, in trying to control the way people think.

Yet schoolteachers, just like journalists - were they themselves not willing to be so easily controlled and manipulated - should be in the front line of people prepared to defend our freedom of expression and opinion rather than colluding in repressing such views.

I remember reading a comment in the weekend press saying how a prisoner "still controlled young people from prison" and thinking how much I despised the word "controlled".

How do those young people feel about being "controlled", I wondered. Or had their minds been so got at that they either didn't realise they were being controlled or had no will or option left to oppose that control.

i think a level of fear has been put into people, one of my tutors once told me that he knew a teacher who when identifying a student was afraid to point out the fact that he was black. i do admit that i would sometimes not say exactly what i think for fear of offending someone, but then you're always going to offend someone with anything you say

That seems to be true. However, in this case, the guy purposefully tried to offend.

And managed to do so without much effort.

And doesn't particularly care that he did offend.

Why on earth would you need to point out someone's colour to them in class?

"Jamie, would it be ok if I just told the class that you are a black kid...or would you prefer I tell them you are a person of colour?":huh::blink:

it took me around 10 years to realise i am not actually black

In that case, you are no longer required as an official 'ratio-pleaser', 'number-maker-upper', or 'ratio-minority-criteria-satisfier.'

You are hereby released from your FoxesTalk contract and relieved of all your stereotype reaffirming and generalisation satisfying duties.

Damn he's kept his Job.

A lot of Luton fans are unimpressed from what I heard on SSN when they announced it though... He's skating on very thin ice with the LMA apparently... Which is suprising really seeing as his comments were only just harsher than Jose Mourinho's weekly rants yet the latter is fine
