Daggers Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 I was thinking that people on this forum might benefit from the life experience of others: My first tip of the thread is for any young person listening to the radio. If you catch the refrain "Eezer Goode, Eezer Goode, he's Ebeneezer Goode" then you will be listening to a repeat of The Shamen's biggest hit. Don't, whatever you do, take it as a literal message about the safety of prohibited substances! Far from being doctors or medical researchers, The Shamen have no qualifications in the field of drug advice whatsoever. In fact, as they all ate E's on their Weetabix, they are all in lunatic asylums now. And dead. Just say 'no' kids, just say 'no'. ------------------------------------------------- Anyone concerned about messages being put over in pop songs that young people should watch out for?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. It's not about a childhood picture, it's about the notorious narcotic substance LITSWD

Give heroin to addicts, says police chief
Alexikokopops Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 Give heroin to addicts, says police chief Heard about that this morning, I'm well game for a bit of Heroin if I can pick it up on teh free. Also that link heads to woman in sport and Mike Newell and all that jazz.
Daggers Posted 23 November 2006 Author Posted 23 November 2006 Give heroin to addicts, says police chief Steven - this has absolutely NOTHING to do with The Police...which simply makes it more shocking. Someone is pretending to be Sting in order to get young people to take heroin. Amazing. What a world we live in
Daggers Posted 24 November 2006 Author Posted 24 November 2006 When Bananarama promise to be your "Venus" it may seem alluring, even nowadays in a MILF-like way...but bewarned, they give a clue that they've "got it!" Got what? you ask. I think it is pretty clear that chlamydia is the answer. Disgusting behaviour!
Dr The Singh Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 When Bananarama promise to be your "Venus" it may seem alluring, even nowadays in a MILF-like way...but bewarned, they give a clue that they've "got it!" Guest Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 I fear the highly influential singer/songwriter kd lang's proclamation that she "can't stand gravy" will have a detrimental effect on family in life in Britain. Hence the Bisto ad campaign to restore it to our tables. Good on yer.
Daggers Posted 24 November 2006 Author Posted 24 November 2006 Don't put anything up inside your head, no matter what The Gap Band tell you. One of them tried to insert a chopstick once, 'oops' indeed.
hairy Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Another interesting song is Dont Step On My Tutu. No you shouldn't go round stepping on Desmond Tutu but the real interesting fact is that in Nigerian (where the songs writer came from) tutu means virgina. Now who has been stepping on her tutu? I know these Africans can be crazy but that is beyond belief.
Daggers Posted 24 November 2006 Author Posted 24 November 2006 If anyone who thinks that they can dabble with drugs and then just walk away is quite frankly stupidly mental. Look at Rick Astley... Give you up. give you upGive you up, give you up Never gonna give Never gonna give, give you up Never gonna give Never gonna give, five you up I just wanna tell you how Im feeling Gotta make you understand See. You can hear his pain through the words...a pain that he shared with millions who heard the song. Locked into substance abuse he is. Locked. If you fancy spending your life as a barely remembered celebrity then shoot it up kids. But the clever ones among you already know that this would be stupidly dumb.
Guest Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 When Air Supply sang that they were "all out of love", it wasn't the affections of another. No. Love is actually smack. See? Love is an anagram of vole, vole rhymes with hole, hole is the hole in the wall from where you can probably find the next victim to fund your dirty habit. Don't listen to this garbage, for your own sakes.

Guest Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Yeah and Westlife have taken up the dirty campaign Need I say more!
Bloomer Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 I saw a bloke and a woman openly selling drugs to people in Asda this morning, brazen as you like. They even wore white coats and stood behind some make-shift counter type thing. Even more amazing nobody said anything or tried to stop the basturds. Half of ficking Oadby will be out of their heads by now no doubt whilst these two criminals are probably planning their next big scam. What next Sainsbury's!!
Daggers Posted 24 November 2006 Author Posted 24 November 2006 Need I say more! Yes...because what has been said so far simply hasn't saved enough young people. They are STILL buying pop records for Gods sake. They are STILL funding these depraved souls. Everyone knows that pop stars are simply the little bitch whores of rock and roll. How do bitch whores get their money? *This question is rhetorical and in no way implies that Lisa has any direct knowledge of how bitch whores actually get their money* Drugs children, drugs. Pop stars sell their souls, their bodies and their self-respect...all to feed their addictions. Cut off their income and you force them to face up to their demons. Fail to do that children and you could be next. Is the message getting through yet? I don't think so because none of the young people have posted in this thread yet. I think they need even more fact.
Guest Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Cut off their income and you force them to face up to their demons. Fail to do that children and you could be next. Isn't this the real message behind the Manics song? I salute them.
kerryh Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Turning Japanese by The Vapors - wasn't that about tommy tanking? Disgusting behaviour if you ask me!
The People's Hero Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 Turning Japanese by The Vapors - wasn't that about tommy tanking? Disgusting behaviour if you ask me! I think it's about the face which men allegedly pull at the moment or orgasm. I've studied women's faces when I pleasure them and have noted that they don't make that face no matter how many orgasms I provide them with (for just a small price).
