Hullfox Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 For a committed fan, I don't here too many football ideas of any sort from you, new or otherwise. What would be the point? It's you who has all the answers. And it's "hear" by the way.
Jimmy Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 What would be the point? It's you who has all the answers. And it's "hear" by the way. do you realise how pathetic it looks when people use spelling to put each other down?
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 do you realise how pathetic it looks when people use spelling to put each other down? Normally I'd agree but seeing as Thrac used to be a journalist I think it's quite funny in this case .
Babylon Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 You may be right but you are a cynic. And seeing neither Fryatt nor anyone else apart from Hume looks likely to score I think it's time he's given the chance he should have had weeks ago. But I do hope Kelly puts the right side around him because that really is part of the problem for all the strikers. The whole team needs to move forwards and backwards naturally and in unison, not just bits of it. Not a cynic, a realist. I'd like to see the kid to see what he can do over a run of games, but the chances are he will just be another Tommy Wright. I've seen so many "wonder kids" come and go I pay no attention to the hype people build up around them.
Thracian Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 What would be the point? It's you who has all the answers. And it's "hear" by the way. Yes, thanks for that. Some 8,765 posts and you've found a spelling mistake. Must have given you quite a buzz. If you look harder, you might find some more. I worked some years as a sub-editor - and would only have had half a job if it wasn't for journalists making spelling mistakes. Of course, you wouldn't have seen those - I hope!
Thracian Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Normally I'd agree but seeing as Thrac used to be a journalist I think it's quite funny in this case . Yes, it's been quite nice not having to read and check everything - you've quite ruined my relaxation!
Babylon Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Yes, thanks for that. Must have given you quite a buzz. I must admit I was tempted to point it out.... but I make plenty of mistakes myself. People in glass houses
Babylon Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Yes, it's been quite nice not having to read and check everything - you've quite ruined my relaxation! I bet you read that over three times to check it was ok didn't you!!

I'd like to see the kid to see what he can do over a run of games, but the chances are he will just be another Tommy Wright. I've seen so many "wonder kids" come and go I pay no attention to the hype people build up around them. Sadly, before he starts, he's no wonder kid. Just an efficient striker and a competent team player. A guy who does his job really, from what I've seen. Right now I'm prepared to settled for 11 guys who are fit and can do their job.
Fox Genius Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 he was wasting his time at northwich anyway, what use is the long ball game, hang on Have you ever seen Vics? They actually get the ball down and play it.
Thracian Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 I bet you read that over three times to check it was ok didn't you!! Absolutely. I'm paranoid now. It's worse than being at work!
Babylon Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Right now I'm prepared to settled for 11 guys who are fit and can do their job. Where are the other 7 coming from?
Thracian Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Where are the other 7 coming from? It's been an hour and I'm still thinking. Why do you have to ask such difficult questions - it's bad enough learning to spell again!
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 It's been an hour and I'm still thinking. Why do you have to ask such difficult questions - it's bad enough learning to spell again! Won't Sheffield Wednesday be bringing some? Maybe we can ask them to lend us some for the game... kinda like you used to do at school when one team was beating the crap out of the other?
Hullfox Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 do you realise how pathetic it looks when people use spelling to put each other down? No but thanks for the advice mate. One man's helpful advice is another man's put down I suppose.

Thracian Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Thrach, you know my life revolves around pointing out your shortcomings. Look upon me as your guardian angel. Don't let me keep you then.
Mikey Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Dodds is a natural finisher. Just what we need. Who seen it when Leicester beat Coalville 3-2 in the Westerby Cup. Dodds got a hat-trick and they was all great finishing especially the third I think we should give him a try. Who agrees?

Hume and Hammond can do the running, Dodds the finishing.
Louise Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Kelly said in the interview on the OS that Hume was ill, which is why he was subbed off and why Dodds has been recalled.

lookwhaticando Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Well if he can do it against Coalville i'm sold. He produced the goods in the Conference, too. He's scored at all kinds of levels of football. Get him in!
Mikey Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Well if he can do it against Coalville i'm sold. Im not saying coalville are good but I have to say they were good finishes. Im sure not many Championship keepers would have saved them. Quality strikes.
gosfox Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Im not saying coalville are good but I have to say they were good finishes. Im sure not many Championship keepers would have saved them. Quality strikes. Quality Strikes.......won't the poor lad feel a little out of place??

City players are worse than council workers - they're forever ill. All this health food and molly coddling is obviously doing them no good at all. One day perhaps we'll get chance to get it right and have Dodds as well as Hume - not instead of.
