No idea but nothing new. They took him down to Hereford and preferred to use Sylla. By the time he gets a proper chance Kelly will be gone, new strikers will be signed and he'll probably simply pass into City history. I wonder if RK's actually afraid the kid will do the business and he'll be left with another big wage earner on the sidelines. I've got one simple question. If Dodds is, according to RK, the most natural finisher in the club or words very close, then why the hell doesn't he use the lad seeing we have so much trouble scoring. If it doesn't work we'll be no worse off and don't include him at Hammond's expense. Leave Fryatt out until he gets himself properly fit and can do himself justice. Not experienced enough?. Not tough enough?. Not quite the finished article. You could say that about Logan and Porter and Wesolowski. But they've sure played a part compared to some of our regulars - even if Weso's was mainly last season. And Dodds is just as good as those three in his particular position. Assuming of course that he's fit and if he's been training with City he damn well ought to be.

Didn't think he was going to play a direct part, but coupled with the ineptitude of our current strikers, he will probably start getting a bit of the bench. To be honest hope that Weso plays because this cotton wool approach must really irritate him. Anyways get the Doddsy bannners out. He will be a good player I'm sure, if not still worth more than the bioriented donkey.

And seeing neither Fryatt nor anyone else apart from Hume looks likely to score I think it's time he's given the chance he should have had weeks ago. But I do hope Kelly puts the right side around him because that really is part of the problem for all the strikers. The whole team needs to move forwards and backwards naturally and in unison, not just bits of it.

I mean, it's not as though our strikers waste loads of chances, midifeld is where the problem lies, there is very little creativity comming from that area!!! Just to add, i'm all for Dodds replacing Hammond on the bench!!!

Kelly tries to get away with his two husslers in midfield - which would be fine if they were creative husslers but they're not really. Tiatto can deliver the odd free kick but he doesn't thread cutting passes and neither does Hughes. The slight advantage with Dodds is that he's an in-the-hole striker anyway rather than the target sort so he's almost like an extra man in midfield. But you couldn't sensibly play him with Hume and Fryatt, Hammond would need to be be there to provide width and pace as I see it. And I'd have King/one hussler/Porter in midfield so there's two people to provide creative links. Tiatto would move to left back where he'd link the play better and closer than Nils who daren't really go forward a lot because he's so vulnerable against fast players who turn him, not that he's the only one..
