Leonisco Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Levein named manager of the month Craig Levein led his side to three wins during October Dundee United's Craig Levein has been voted manager of the month for November in the Scottish Premier League. The 42-year-old, who took charge on 30 October, led United to victories over Rangers, Kilmarnock and St Mirren during his first month at Tannadice. Their only defeat came at the hands of Dunfermline at East End Park. A victory in Saturday's match against Hibernian would take United to seventh position in the SPL and away from the relegation zone. The former Leicester and Hearts has put his side's recent success down to an improvement in United's defence. "I have seen improvements from the defenders, but there is more to come because I don't think any of them have been beyond reproach," he said. Link It was just bound to happen, wasn't it.
dandannieldanok Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Why? It's just like Keith Gillespie, why on earth do so many people fail to succeed at City then go on to do really well elsewhere?
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Why? It's just like Keith Gillespie, why on earth do so many people fail to succeed at City then go on to do really well elsewhere? Easy questions to answear, Gillespie was a good player for us, Levein can manage in Scotland. Magic I am.

Manwell Pablo Posted 3 December 2006 Posted 3 December 2006 Gillespie was crap for us Bit of a outspoken opinion. He won player of the season whilst he was here.
Finnegan Posted 3 December 2006 Posted 3 December 2006 Or maybe our ground is built on an indian burial ground..? No more Stephen King for that man.
Leicfox Posted 3 December 2006 Posted 3 December 2006 Why? It's just like Keith Gillespie, why on earth do so many people fail to succeed at City then go on to do really well elsewhere? I blame the fickle fans...

Leonisco Posted 3 December 2006 Author Posted 3 December 2006 Bit of a outspoken opinion. He won player of the season whilst he was here. Did he?
The People's Hero Posted 3 December 2006 Posted 3 December 2006 Gillespie was crap for us Bo llocks was he. The boo boys just got on his back early on. Certainly started playing better when he wanted a new contract and should have got one in my opinion./
BartonFox Posted 3 December 2006 Posted 3 December 2006 scotland is a pub league, leveins level Hmmm. Levein comes in we scud Coventry and things look ok. Rob Kelly is brought in for his extensive knowledge of English football and contacts and he is a brilliant coach. We become inconsistently tripe. Levein gets the bullet. Kelly gets us safe then we start playing worse than ever. We are going down with Kelly. Meanwhile Levein turns up without Kelly and is doing alright thank you very much. Now I can tell you this, Rob Kelly is f'ckin useless and has been a cancer on the Club since his appointment and every passing day it becomes clear that Davies has screwed us with this muppet.

Interesting... but i think its more than just RK, he's got to go (but if the MM deal where to fall through... how do we get a replacement and who???), we can only hope the takeover still happens after our latest run of disasters and that we can "clean house" over Christmas, get a new manager in and in January make a number of key aditions to the squad (!) But it all rides on the MM take over now if you ask me... if it falls through we're deep, deep in the brown stuff
