Tevez Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 To settle a argument with friends i want to ask who is better out of gerrard or lampard..
Leonisco Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 StevieG hands down. If Fat Frank gets one single vote I'll cry.
Finnegan Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 who is better out of gerrard or lampard. Jason Koumas.
Webbo Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 stevie definately. Jason Koumas. yeah right, best at what?
lcfc_jme Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Stevie G is better by far. Fat Frank is overrated imo. Even when he's playing for England I don't like him.
JoeyB Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 u lot are so correst lampard is crap and i hate him so much at least you have said something good today gerrard is possibly underated imho he and jamie caragher carry liverpool while lampard is way overrated, the only reason lampard is said to be 'good' becasue of the players he plays with if stevie and lamps swapped teams lamps wouldnt be able to cope but stevie would fit straight in gerrard ftw
potter3 Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 StevieG hands down.If Fat Frank gets one single vote I'll cry. Well it's 13-0 so far. Gerrard is just better in every aspect of his game. He maybe doesn't score as much in the Premiership because he has more work to do than Lampard. You rarely see Lampard tracking back to make a tackle whereas Gerrard regularly does and more often than not wins the tackle.
lookwhaticando Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Gerrard was an inspiration in the 2005 Champions League Final. He was the difference in the 2006 FA Cup Final too. Two huge games where he managed to lead his team to victory. He's also made the difference in the league at times. Frank Lampard, as good a midfielder he is, just isn't as inspirational as Gerrard. When was the last time he picked his team up and led them to a Champions League or FA Cup final win? At international level, Frank has looked useless for the past year or so, while Gerrard has still managed to have an impact. Playing him on the right is a mistake for England. It's time to be brave and ditch Lampard from the CM role - give it Gerrard and stick a proper winger on the right. Let's not handicap ourselves twice by using an out-of-form CM and putting our best CM on the RW. Lampard in the first Chelsea title winning season looked sensational, but he's since been outdone by the classier Gerrard. Fact.
JoeyB Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 i think that england should try a 4-4-2 diamond GK: Carson RB: Neville LB: Col CBS: Terry, Rio (defence picks itself imo but carson warrents a place imho he's kept charlton bad results down instead of them being 5 0r 6 0 (1) he's kept them to 1/2 (0) DM: Huddlestone (been exceptional for spurs this season) RM: Lennon (or poss bbring back becks) LM: Cole / Downing: AMC: Gerrard ST: Rooney ST: Defoe thats the best england imo at this present moment in time
lildave3 Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Gerrard is the better all round player. The reason Lampard plays so well for Chelsea and scores so many goals is because he has someone like Makelele or Essien having his back all the while. Lampard is perfect for Chelsea, Gerrard is perfect for Liverpool. If they swapped clubs, neither would do as well as they are doing now. Ballack and Shevchenko are two of the best players in the world but can't play well because they don't suit Chelsea's style of play. And for the record, i blame Crouch for Lampard's poor world cup because he stands still. Lamps needs the player that runs into space (Rooney, Owen) so he can attack in and around the box and finish the loose ball.

They should provide options for Crouch for flick-ons etc. Hargreaves should play the holding role, allowing Gerrard and Lampard to support the attacks, hopefully bringing the best out of both of them.Maybe swap Crouch for Owen when he is fit, or possibly Defoe but we wouldn't have anyone who could head the ball.or we could play Richards at right-back.
JoeyB Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 get rid of lampard and that team woul be better
lcfc_jme Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Keeper Richards ---Rio ---Terry ----ColeHargreavesGerrard ------ ColeSWP -----------------------RooneyJohnson Leaves us short on options for heading the ball, but is certainly a more attacking team and is capable of scoring a lot of goals should they keep the ball on the floor and play properly.
Libertine Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 OOOOOHHH 19-0. Gerrard easily. Far better. Fatboy can **** off.

lcfc_jme Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 thats better but i would have lennon(when he's fit) instead of swp tho I suppose so. SWP and Lennon could be alternated though, as they are both similar players. They enjoy running at defenders, beating them, creating and scoring goals. Whilst Lennon isn't fit, SWP is the best bet for that. When Lennon is fit, he'd be my first choice, but if pace was needed, SWP would be the man

lcfc_jme Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 agree with you well and truely there couldnt of put it better myself Carson for gk tho Glad I have some form of agreement However, I would have to disagree with Carson being selected in goal. Maybe in a couple of years when he has a bit more Premiership experience and maybe some European experience. Robinson for me - although he drops a lot of howlers - is still the leading English goalkeeper available to us. I'd give Carson his chance in a friendly for 45 minutes in a game where James or Kirkland also get a run out. If we happen to wrap up qualification for Euro 2008 and are assured of going through, I wouldn't mind him getting his chance between the sticks, as we have nothing to lose and the pressure would be off of him.
