saints_is_the_south Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 why was my last post deleted? not as if im acting like a tw*t and taking the p!ss. Havent nothing against Leicester (my cousin is from there as it happens!) but just generally felt your fans were very quiet today.
breadandcheese Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 I was stuck in the Southampton kop. You couldn't hear much from us today. We were very quiet, although no surprise with the performance.

The way you worded it was a bit shit mate, like you were loking for a reaction. Well done to the lads and lasses who went down there today Who would want to sing loud when their team is so uninspiring?
saints_is_the_south Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 The way you worded it was a bit shit mate, like you were loking for a reaction. Well done to the lads and lasses who went down there today wasnt looking for a reaction atall, just pointing out that your support were clearly not in fine voice. Who would want to sing loud when their team is so uninspiring? When we got relegated our team was utter sh!te and lost in the last minute almost every week, and failing that we lost 2:3 from being 2 up at home, but we never gave up. The Northam is Saints 12th man and abit of vocal support can really help players especially when they arnt playing so well.
Thracian Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Apart from the result it was a cracking day out. And for anyone going next year I can thoroughly recommend Annie's Cafe over the river bridge at Wolston. A traditional English cafe with three full English breakfasts: two bacon, two sausages, tomatoes, hash browns, mushrooms, egg and fried bread with brown sauce out of a bottle and each with a piping hot half hot milk/half hot water coffee (or tea) superbly made all for just £11.50. Shame about some of the football but I thought our travelling support put the home fans to shame. Loads of atmosphere around where I was.

Fair enough, but IMO the atmosphere now is just as good as St Marys (well the Northam & Itchen North) if not better than it was in the prem because we've lost all our JCL's.
JoeyB Posted 30 December 2006 Author Posted 30 December 2006 what time are the buses due back does anybody know? so i can be here to welcome them back
StuRomseySaint Posted 30 December 2006 Posted 30 December 2006 Shame about some of the football but I thought our travelling support put the home fans to shame. Loads of atmosphere around where I was. Glad you enjoyed your day out despite the weather. However, are you taking the piss about your supporters putting Saints fans to shame? Considering the delay, the weather etc, Saints fans either side of you never stopped singing. I was sat right beside the Leicester fans and could hardly hear a thing, I did notice about 15 people at the back singing, that was it though. I always thought Leicester had a passionate support, however having been to most games at SMS and Walkers between us in previous year, I have to say, Leicester are the quietest fans I have come across. Not a wind up, just the truth.
